Guys if you want to see a team that would have no doubts that it is playoff caliber then look no further then the phins, we have an absolute brutal final five games now vs all teams that are in the hunt, it will be a war every sunday now to survive, we have no net, we fall we die. It is wierd I actually am glad we have no soft teams remaining, if the phins win out they would be a legit superbowl team, how could they not, with wins over the jags, pats, bills in buffalo, jets and indy in indy, that is as hard as it gets. The media will have no excuses if we are successfull.

what ever your religion is guys, pray, light candles, say rosary, burn insence, every little bit helps

That's overstating things a bit. Tough games, yes, but I wouldn't say it's as hard as it gets. The Jags aren't that good. The Pats are good but not as good as they have been. The Bills and Jets are both decent, but both beatable. Indy in Indy might be a disaster if they have something to play for. If they don't, it's much easier.

They can run the table, but they have little margin for error. One bad game for Harrington, or one game of mental mistakes or defensive lapses, and we're toast, no matter who the opponent is.

true is may break that way, but every game is going to be tight

Lets hope they can pull it off then get a playoff berth.

Logic tells me that we're unlikely to get a playoff berth. But I've never been the logical sort. I don't know if we'll be able to overcome our horrible start, but I sure like our chances to make some noise from here on out.

we r gonna win out, the question is will the other teams we need to lose, lose the games we need them to?

Well looking ahead and we win out, we need KC or DENVER and CINCI to lose 2 games each...

KC has the following schedule left:

BENGALS
RAVENS
CHARGERS
RAIDERS
JAGS

Of the 5, I can see them losing to the RAVENS and CHARGERS. The RAIDERS may give them fits as well based on their play today against the CHARGERS... Also with 2 losses, we have the tie breaker

DENVER has the following schedule left:

SEAHAWKS
CHARGERS
CARDINALS
BENGALS
49ERS

With the start of CULTER almost a given next week, I can see them losing at least 2... Probably the CHARGERS and BENGALS... This would give the BRONCOS a 7-5 conference record, which would be tied with us if we win out. I am not sure what the next tie breaker would be but I like our chances there...

CINCI has the following schedule left:

RAVENS
RAIDERS
COLTS
BRONCOS
STEELERS

RAVENS and COLTS are chasing the first round buy with home field... No way they fall to the BENGALS... But stranger things have happened... Even still... The STEELERS will be looking for a spoil...

In the about scenarios, there will be 2 WC spots open to have... We would definitely get the 5th in this case... If only 2 of the 3 happens, we would still secure the 6th...

it would be an amazing story if miami was to get into the playoffs, with the start they had, i think they can do it ,it all starts sunday vs jax.

Guys, this is what we need to realize. This IS OUR PLAYOFFS, isn't it? I know its not the official post-season but you win, you fight on another week, you lose you're done. Even if the Phins don't win the last 5 at least we can say that we were in the hunt in december and the expierence we get this last month of the season can only benifit us in the future. Just treat this game like it is our playoff game.

GREAT point brother!!! We are in our playoffs now!!!:dolphins:

the weird thing about this is even if we finish 10-6 and make the playoffs, we were supposed to be battling for the division at like 12-4 , instead of starting off terribly and trying to rely on teams to lose for us to get in. so hopefully we will get in which would be amazing, but if we dnt we dnt have anyone else to blame besides ourselves. we cnt blame other teams for not beating this team being the reason we didnt get in if that happens, bc we had 3 very very winnable games[ vs buf,at hou, vs gb] which we shouldve won and we wouldve been in a situation at 8-3 tied for first, instead of sitting at 5-6.with the situation we were in , and the situation we r in now, its great, but it shoudlve never came down to this to begin with.

With the schedule we had early, and that we went 1-6 during the "easier" portion, might be the dagger in the heart. Those losses to Pitt, GB, Buffalo, and Houston, and that Jets came that Mare shanked us out of...all games we should have won. We'd be looking a lot prettier if we'd won even two of them. 2-3 against those teams looks a lot better than 0-5. That's what will end up costing us if we don't make it. But I've still got hope in this team, and the man they call Joey.
