Last night leaving the game I was listening to Chargers postgame on 1090 and it felt good to hear the announcers (who were KILLING Philip Rivers and the Chargers) keep talking about how physical the Dolphins are. I don't know if I've ever heard that in my more than 30 years as a Dolphin fan. I think adding Suh really changed our dynamic on D and obviously the running game on O has changed the game for us. Not to mention the toughest sob ever at QB. Guy gets decapitated 4 times a game and jogs off like "doo-doo-doo" lol.

Also it was cool to see how much chemistry this team has on both sides of the ball. You can tell all these units really like each other and that they are buying in to Adam Gase. What a difference a month makes! On to LA! #PhinsUp

Love the culture change to a hard nosed squad. Hopefully that philosophy continues in the offseason as we build on core of D...

I was at Henne's last ever game with the Dolphins, the one in San Diego in either 2010 or 2011, I can't remember which. I remember being so frustrated in how Not-physical they were and just what kind of soft team they were.
The Dolphins played with guts yesterday. The game still really did come down to Kiko's pick-6 because the Chargers were almost in position to kick a winning FG. I wanted Miami to start using our T.O.s when the Chargers so quickly got to midfield. That was shaping up to be a pretty easy win scenario for SD right before that Pick-6. Looking at Melvin Gordon's numbers, I don't think San Diego was any less physical than we were.
If anything, I think you can say that Miami won that game with brains over brawn. Kiko's pre-snap read and adjustment was brilliant and took him right to that ball and he just had to catch it, which he did. No Choking. He got'r done. Lippet's interception to seal the victory was another example of a player using their head, seeing and sensing what was going on and easily getting into the path of a Rivers pass.

My point, I guess, is that Miami's mental toughness was more impressive to me than their 'physicality' in terms of deciding that game.

I was at that crappy game too. I was also at the game where Pennington busted his shoulder up again and the Henne era began. That was our first win in SD in what seems like forever. The Bolts deserve better - 55-56k there yesterday in a 73k building. The whole middle deck seemed to be empty

what I saw earl mitchell do to get to the running back, i've not seen that in a long time.

I'm not so sure chemistry and love between the offense and defense
the first 5 games of the season when the defense was on the field
almost twice the time as the offense.

But a running game changed all that for a positive love feast
between the offense and defense

I think the Dolphins have had plenty of physical squads over the years, but bad QB play and lack of playmaking ability sucked the life out of otherwise hard-nosed teams coached by Wanny, Saban, and Sparano. Also, it was also questionable how mentally tough some of those Wanny squads were, especially.

Every time the fins made a good play, the crowd roared...my wife kept saying it sounded like they were playing in Miami!

It's an absolutely fantastic turnaround for Gase and the Dolphins. Still need to continue to add physical players and continue to make that priority #1.

The last time Miami won the super bowl, they had the most physical team in football. Just ran over people and no one could stop it. I so badly want to see that here and have loved what Ajayi and the offensive line has done the last four weeks.

I actually meant the individual positional units

Just to reiterate: I'm most impressed with Miami's mental toughness and will to win, with Tannehill truly becoming a leader in this regard as well.
