i was looking at all the charts by fox sports and there are several posibilities. but i think it may be wise if dolphin fans hold off on making playoff plans . i remember saying dont set our expectations too high for this season and what happens we win two quality wins and we have tw crowds ,first we have the we will win the super bowl crowd then we have the sky has fallin crowd. I tried to warn people that the danger of high expectations, is if something goes bad everybody is pissy and hissy about it so. lets refocus on these expectations.
if the pats win their in ; if we win the rest of the games there is still a chance we still wont get in. Right now if the steelers lose one more game they may be out. so in order for us to get in it may take more then us wining out. we may need for denver or somebody like that to lose a couple of games. remember this is the afc people .

they say a monkey wont go bananas over a keg of beer.:shakeno:

The only way in is win the division. The Steelers record has no relevance, they're fighting for a wild card we can't possibly get.

We need to win. We need the Patriots to lose.

I don't think we'll make it. But as long as we're alive I have to root for it. the way I see it is if we win Sunday, and that's a HUGE if, we deserve it more than NE becuase we would have beaten SD and Denver, 2 playoff teams. NE has been beaten by every playoff team they have faced. In fact the slumping Steelers are the best team they have beaten. Anyway we want to look at it the Pats are one and done if they get in.

Agreed. It is a longshot, but the only way we get in is if we win out and the Patriots lose three games ( including one to us ). It can be done as Buffalo should be tough at home against a bad New England secondary. New England has to play Tampa Bay still and divisional games are always unpredictable and the Pats still have the Jets and us after Buffalo.

Again, If New England wins two more games, or we lose one, we are out of the race for the playoffs. However, that won't make this season a lost one. Saban has already given us more wins this year than last and found some quality playmakers in his first draft. I think we have a legit shot at 7-9 or 8-8 and that would be awesome for Saban's first year.

Give Saban one more year with money to spend on free agents and draft picks and we could see New England's reign of terror FINALLY end next year.

MAN THE AFC EAST HAS BEEN REALLY WEAK THIS YEAR.
ther really is no way to really no how the play off picture will shape out but i am keeping my fingers crossed . i am just wondering which teams will help us and which ones wont.

If we had just taken that NE game we would both be 6-6 and we would be in the drivers seat becuase of the head to head tiebreaker. At 5-7 we were a lot closer to a divsion title than we think.

The playoff spot will be nearly impossible to get. Unless NE somehow looses 3 of 4 and we win all 4, we wont make it.

all the patriots need to do is win two more and we are out mathematically

Lets not worry about it. The Fins have their own games to play. If we end the season 9-7, would any one of you not be proud of our guys?

And 7-9 would look great at the end of the year if you consider that we were a few plays away from winning a few of those games. I think the reasons for losing those games can be fixed, and more talent next year will allow us to be in better position at the end of games to win.

and if we would have run against atl at the end we could go on and on about the close games but hey we need to get those next year to be a serious playoff contender

If we get in great but if we don't then we'll look forward to free agency and the draft and we'll have a better team next year.

Ozzy rules!!
