I did not watch the Bills/Pats game.

Could someone with a reasonable grasp of the English language please explain to me how the refs screwed Buffalo. A lot of the posts around here are just long, run-on sentences and I'm having difficulty understanding exactly what happened.

Thankyou.

Its simple, all the Bills penalties were deserved...there were none that were bad flags. And all the Bills fans will be whining because of the Whitner interception but there was still a block in the back shortly after Whitner picked it off. Plus the Pats would have tackled Whitner anyways because the whistle was blown quickly.

Why was a whistle blown at all if a flag came out?
The play should have been completed. Even the Patsie rooters broadcasting the game could'nt figure that one out.

shcobel was being held 90% of the time and the other 10% he was in the backfield all over brady

Whitner scored the game winner...it was called back on a bull**** block in the back and blown dead to kill B-Lo's field position.

Then, subsequently, Buffalo picked up a third down conversion and another bogus penalty was called to kill their scoring drive.

COMPLETE HOME COOKING.

Some of the penalties on the Bills were "iffy." They were technically correct, but not very obvious. But even granting that those calls were all correct, there were a number of infractions committed by the Patriots that were not called, including obvious holds, offsides and roughing the punter penalties. In addition there were several spots (of the ball) in crucial situations that seemed to favor the Patriots. On the Whitner interception, the "inadvertent whistle" was very quick, the "iffy" flag for the block in the back on Nate Clements was very late.

it happens........whenever buffalo got something going the flags flied.

Moorman was run over twice, no roughing the kickers called. Schobel was held by light (sp) on almost every play. He was even thrown to the ground numerous times. The Whitner interception DID matter because if no whistle is blown the play can be challenged and reversed (yes penalties can be challenged, bills did it last year and were successful). Everytime the Bills got anything going there was a flag. Also it seemed every crucial field position spotting favored the pats. One time the refs gave them a first down when they were obviously a yard short.
