It's that all 4 of Tyreek, Waddle, Gesicki and Wilson Jr are finesse receivers. Teams started roughing them and making them catch in traffic and they got demoralized. The ball's been there. He looked off on the 9ers game because receivers where missing their marks. Sherfield is the only one to bring any toughness, mental and physical out of all our WRs.

I think waddle is tough. Love sherf and I think cracraft had some toughness but he's disappeared. Wish E.E. would get a chance to be on the field....like at all.

I was happy mike was retained but now I'm wishing we would've moved him and recouped some draft capitol.

Cracraft's been banged up lately also. I think he was flat out inactive last game, reason why I didn't account for him. Waddle disappeared even before we started losing.

Yea I've gotta assume waddle just isn't right health wise. A successful third year for Tua and 1st for McD would be a playoff berth. Health and failing to adjust our plan of attack are walking us right out of that possibility. It hurts.

There’s absolutely no question that our receivers now need to adjust to physical play. It has been rarely used against them. Unfortunately, it’s also happening at a time when guys are not 100%.

We need to change it up. I was thinking to myself after the game on Sunday night….maybe we need to use Waddle a little more like we did last season. It was frustrating last season, but we could definitely use some shorter completions on early downs to keep us out of what is regularly becoming common 3rd & long situations.

Tua is off, IDK if the ankle might be more of problem than they are leading on and he cant plant properly, but if you Listened to yesterday's presser McDaniel mentioned certain guys changing their routes, or cutting too early or late. Which also could be a cause why it looks crazy where the ball placement is.

I could very much have to do with team trying to rough them up at the line and its causing them to miss their spots. It's just gotta get fixed

finesse is something I brought up early in camp and why ive been harping so much on getting Ezukama on the field, he's a physical player that we despertaely need..Gesicki is so one dimensional finesses hes pratically useless.

MCD has to change things up, he didnt going from san fran to LA.

I was texting my buddy that they really need Ezukanma to get his **** together and learn the playbook, they need a big physical body to help counter this. Hopefully next year he validates his selection but until then McDaniel is going to have to scheme a lot of shorter plays and get the run game going. I'm not out on Tua yet I think he still has potential to be a great qb. Also we all have to hope Hunter Long makes a miraculous year 3 leap or something, maybe there is a lower tier free agent tight end that could fit in.

I think people are starting to realize as the smoke clears that Tua may not be the problem and actually we some of our receivers beyond Hill need to make a plays that what was working in our offense.
I recall last year Tua constantly hitting Devante on deep-side passes with no problem
so he can throw outside the hashes just fine. Parker was never healthy but you cannot outman him for the ball.
Keenan Allen and Mike Williams made catches for Justin Herbert that our receivers are not and when the passes go incomplete it's Tua's fault? As a former WR myself when the ball is in my area it is for me not that guy who is covering me. Our Wrs got to start making catches in critical times it is that simple. We need to stop blaming Tua for everything with the boneheaded Tua sucks comments. Anybody who played football can see what is going on. Poor routes, official
not calling PIs, and drop passes.
Stop dropping passes and catch the ball in both games Tua has been better in the 4th qtr
but we have to see drops and people not looking for the balls in the 4Qtr of both games. Welker needs to get these kids more focused.

Also, the false starts are not helping either.

Still can't believe we haven't seen EZ in regular season action. I thought he's supplant CWilson for sure.

Good points. Agree that all of our receivers are smaller finesse guys who have crest separation vertically or horizontally on the field. What we don’t have is a big bodied receiver currently playing now who can run a short curl route and block out the defender and make a catch or go up for a jump ball - I think EE can be that guy. If all of your receivers are small teams will bully them at the LOS, and if all are big and lumbering they will make them beat you up top. Who would we throw a jump ball to in the red zone on this team? 🤔

You sure? I heard it was Tua.

Tua has made a crappy oline look serviceable. We won’t make a serious playoff push without one.
Crappy o-line?

Tua hasn't played but one game (looked terrible) behind a crappy o-line this year. In the rest of his games, where he was in the MVP conversation, the o-line played above average.

Him throwing the ball around like an abstract painter throwing paint on a canvas isn't the o-line's fault.

Good lord thats depressing. There isn't a big bodied boy I'd target for certain in a short yard redzone opportunity.
As a Pennsylvania person who knows alot of eagles fans, just see what AJ brown has done for that offense. They still have their speed with smith but damn brown has added the physical element to the receiving group.
