Besides the obvious, I don't know that ted ginn will be leaving miami very soon. He probably has no trade value, everyone knows he can't catch very well, and he doesn't start. But this doesn't mean he isn't a weapon.

This kid could very well be the fastest in the nfl. I've heard multiple announcers and analysts say this, and that makes ginn the ultimate weapon for our run game. When you put someone like him in, the corner has to provide a cushion, and they have to run a high safety. that opens up a sweep or toss play to the right/left and gives the ability for a short pass. Ginn's speed is the real weapon, not his hands.

I know we all want a solid number 1 receiver, and it pains me to say this, but ginn is our best shot at a solid number 1. And when you think about it, his hands have turned to stone just this season. Before he was catching everything thrown at him. Henne needs a compliment to his arm strength and Ginn is the only one fast enough to get down field without the line protection breaking down (Monday Night vs. Jets.) I don't know what's wrong with him this season, but it's tough to let that kind of speed go to another team or bench that kind of speed.

The funny thing about him is dropping the ball wasn't his problem until this year. He was very raw in his route running and ability to read a defense his first few years, but still caught most of the catchable balls. And man did he have 2 really nice catches of throws low to the ground against Carolina. He should definitely stay on as our #3-4 WR.

Yeah, I agree about his hands going south this season, but Hartline has already dropped some passes that were drive killers. The saints game in particular. That was our game, but dropped passes by all of our receivers in the 4th was devastating. Hartline is slow with questionable hands, camarillo is slow with decent hands, Bess is by far our best receiver with decent hands and speed, but ginn has unreal speed. It's such a damn shame he doesn't have the hands to go with it.

Shown by the screen they threw to him his 1st gear is really slow, He is almost the kind of WR that has to be in a game a lot of take advantage of the deep routes not just come in and run them. He is starting to earn his way back onto the field. Next game i expect maybe 20-25 plays on O.

He has trade value as a return man and a team seeing potential as a WR. He'd probably need to be packaged with someone else to push up the pick.

Well, if we end up keeping him, he's only 24. So he's still incredibly young and can still develop himself as a WR.

He did make the tackle on the Ronnie Brown fumble....

Its a confidence thing with him right now. I'd like to see a little support for him and I hope at least the team is giving it to him if not the fans. He doesn't deserve to be starting for sure, but he deserves a chance over the rest of this year and next to slowly regain his spot and everyone's trust. Beyond that though I think all the criticism is deserved except when people call him a pu**y for avoiding hits. He's 175lbs. No one ever said the same things about guy like Marvin harrison, but i guess thats what happens when you make all the catches.

I still like the kid. I am hoping for the best. You still don't want to see him behind your DBs because if he gets one step, NOBODY catches him. Of course, IF he catches the ball...

He did and I have to say for some reason I was surprised by that. On the interception return for the untouchdown against the Saints he showed great hustle to get down there and knock the ball loose. It's just a shame the refs didn't get the call right. He still has a long way to go though and I'm not sure he will ever get there.

A number 3 or 4?

Ginn is a 1 or 2, u don't coach speed. I think u bring in a Brandon Marshall and throw Ginn opposite of him and Bess in the slot . . . . . with Henne, Ricky and Ronnie and Polite and a healthy OLine. This offense is going to be problems for the NFL. We need to seriously look at a quality TE also.

We need to use him like the Saints use Reggie Bush.

.

Are you watching the game in your dreams.
Ginn got man coverage all game. Opposite D do not give him any respect. There were no "high safety", as matter of fact, safety cheat up to help out run d whenever he is on the field.

STOP making things up. Try to watch the real game once in a while.

He is a real weapon alright, a weapon for other team to beat us.
