with the news of Saban telling Gus he is bringing in a vet and Gus will not be starting, it is time to start the fan speculation

first off Saban is doing the right things here, Gus is Gus and there is no future potential in him period

now the best case scenario would be bringing in a solid vet and drafting a young QB

do you go after Mcnair/Mccown/Culpepper/Rivers/Brooks? You guys tell me?

No matter which QBs go into Training Camp with the Dolphins, I'm pretty confident that Coach Saban gets whoever he wants.
If he wants Cutler he'll get him. If he goes for Rivers or Brees, he'll get his QB. No matter what.
This man has a plan and nothing or noone is going to stop him. And this makes me smile big time because I know that glory days are coming. So soon.

i think of those guys mcnair would be the best fit and best player for us...and then darft a qb.

I would wait until Saban says it and not listen to rumors.
No, no, thats not how it works here...It's wait untill the rumor says it and not listen to Saban.

Based on what?

Kill two birds with one stone and bring in one of the younger guys, Rivers or McNown.

That said I still want Cutler. :D

Can someone encrypt that please?

I fixed it. It didnt look like that when I pasted it lol sorry

I think it's the right move as well. Gus Ferrote is much like Jay Fiedler in that he missed the 1-3 plays a game that could have either blown it open, or made it a win rather than a loss. In other words, he's average at best although I certainly appreciate his effort and his deep arm. I would like to see Miami bring in Steve McNair for 1-2 years, if the price is right. I've always thought he was a winner, but not sure how much he has left. Agree with you that Miami could then groom the qb of the future -- hopefully Brodie Croyle if Jay Cutler is top 10.

I don't know why this is such a surprise to anyone...If you watched our QB play this year, it was terrible. Yes, we're looking to upgrade the QB position...

if, and this is a big if, saban already knows hes bringing in a veteran QB, it cant be a FA, cause you cant predict what will happen with FAs, if other teams will offer omre money, etc, etc...

IF he knows who this QB is and is just waiting till moves are allowed, id be guessing it would be some kind of trade, and most of the paramaters have been set and its just waiting for the offseason to begin...

but thats a humungous IF... and this stuff about gus isnt confirmed anywhere anyway...

Theres not a guy on that list that I would want starting for this team. :shakeno:

Did you not see Drew Brees name on that list. HE isn't going anywhere but if he was he would be my choice for our franchise quarterback.
