Stop worrying about the QB's they will be fine. The thing you have to remember is at no point last season did the Phins face any eight man fronts. Defenses were able to dictate where feeley had to throw the ball and funneled everything to the middle of the field and that's where Aj had most of his problems.

That will not be the situation this season..... if Ronnie is as good as advertised and we all know what #34 can do that will force teams to bring the safety up and allow our Qb to throw against man coverage. neither of theses guys are the reincarnation of Dan Marino but I like our chance with Chambers, Boston, Booker and Mcmicheal going against man coverage.

So as long as our o-line continues to improve and give our backs some running lanes the QB's will be just fine.

Thats why i was so pumped about getting houck, i think he's really going to surprise people with the difference a great coach makes

It's a domino effect. Everyone in San Diego was ready to write off Drew Brees as another bust and look what happened.
It is a team game. If Linehan and Houck gets this offense rolling I think either of these QB's will be successful. Frerotte did pretty well when he filled in for Culpepper and I think the Dolphins have a more talented offense than Minny. True the Vikings had Moss, but the Dolphins have a better corp of receivers and TE. At RB, the Vikes have solid guys, but they don't compare to RW, RB and LG.

The QBs will be fine...

...they`ll be fine as long as AJ isn`t the one starting.

Many of you younger posters don't remember Jim Plunkett. He was a Heisman trophy winner drafted by the Pats (1st overall I think) who never lived up to his draft hype.
He was traded to the Raiders and became one of the top QB's in the league and led them to the SB.
He had been written off as a bust prior to joining the Raiders. Sometimes it just takes the right system.
You guys are writing AJ off a little too early.

For the record I`m 39...and AJ Feeley is no Jim Plunkett.

No and A.J. Feeley isn't Marino either, but he surely does not have to be to be successful.

I'm by no means a Feeley supporter nor a detractor i simply want whats best for the Dolphins. That being said i just have yet to see anything from Feeley (and please don't bring up the Pats game) that warrants me to say he is OUR guy. We don't have to really worry about this because there is no doubt in my mind that Sban will give him his shot this year. It's make or break for Feeley and we'll see what the guys got this year. If he does great then ill jump on the bandwagon because im a loyal Dolphin fan, not an AJ fan. I've said it before and ill say it again....i wish the guy the best of luck because #1 he doesn't have the best track record for staying healthy and or being productive #2 Fin fans will write him off faster than you can say Spielman. I'm still gonna push for drafting a QB next year unitl AJ shows me he can do it. Just my opinion of course.

What`s Marino got to do with this...and who the hell would ever compare anybody to Dan. Feeley just has to play adequately for us to have a chance this year...something I haven`t seen from him yet. Or did you think he was OK last year?

Agreed. The problem i have with Feeley is not his physical attributes because the guy has those in droves, it's the way he always looks like a deer in headlights when the play doesn't run exactly as planned. In this league if you don't have that down after 4-5 years chances are you wont get it. You have to be fearless and step up and make that good throw not panic and be reckless. Many a QB's have had the tools but couldn't quite grasp the mental/emotional side of being a QB. I just don't see it in AJ. I've wanted to draft a QB now for some years...i want a guy who new in the league, hungry, ready to learn and someone we can train from the get-go. If Feeley doesn't pan out ...he's gone.

Both Feeley and Gus are below average QBs IMO, and I doubt they will be fine.

hey I may be fairly new and i am not a anti a.j. feely fan but
" how dare you clowns put a. j. feely in the same page as dan marino let alone in the same sentence ." what are people drinking ,:shakeno: i hope its not the same stuff that mercury 40 used to drink.

by the way how is sage doing ?

You don't know that yet..If you're 39 then you know it takes more than a couple of games for a QB to get really adjusted. Also you know the guy is learning his 3rd O in as many years, you should know that you don't master something when it's brand new, after a season or 2 you know it pat. :shakeno:
