So I was bored and I was thinking what have Ronnie and Ricky done as a group this season and here are the numbers.

Ronnie has 827 yards on 195 attempts for an average YPC of 4.2 and 10 TDs. While Ricky has 575 yards on 138 attempts for an average of 4.2 and 3 TDs.

Ronnie has 218 yards receiving on 24 catches (9.1 a catch). Ricky has 166 yards on 22 catches and one TD (7.5 a catch).

So in total the tandem has 1786 yards from scrimmage and 14 total TDs through the first 15 weeks.

Do you think they'll finish with over 2000 YFS? I do. This is the season we've been waiting for for a long while where we can finally see both backs perform as a duo over the course of almost a whole season. I think if the Dolphins win their final two games we need to lean on these guys more in the playoffs. Specifically Ronnie late in games. He's a closer and Ricky is our lightning that strikes when you least expect it. Remember earlier in the season when we were playing the Chargers and we needed a first down to finish the game? What happened? Oh yeah we gave Ronnie the rock and he proceeded to point out Cromartie and bull his *** over after he was about five yards past the first down marker.

What do you guys think of Ronnie and Ricky's production as a duo this season? What would you like to see from them for the rest of the season? Personally I think the team needs to utilize Ronnie's receiving talents a bit more. I've been way more than pleased thus far.

Real awesome stat I think the coaching staff does a real nice job of using both.

Ive also been very pleased the way they have been used. I think that they are both very fresh for the stretch run and the playoffs and that is great because you need to be able to run the ball in December and January. Last game i saw ricky used on 3rd and 1 a couple times. I would like to see Ronnie in that situation because he is our bruiser. As far as Ronnie getting more catches i would respectively disagree. Last week he dropped a couple and i feel ricky is a better catcher and runner after the catch. Overall i want just a tad more Ricky in the offense but i love how they have been used so far

Idk its weird like sometimes it seems like we try all these tricks and gimmicks but a ronnie brown toss outside always seems to work.

But in comparison to last season Ronnie Brown hasnt been that same dynamic player and Ricky compared to his 05 player hasn't had as big of a burst. Now the line hasnt played that well in run blocking but im not that impressed with the contribution in comparison to what I thought it would be.

Ronnie will never be a true great RB unless he gets his own gig. He had everythign going great last year and then the unforunate acl tear happened.

Ricky is 02/03 was obviously incredible. In 05 he was solid and then played great in weeks 16 and 17 when he was the only RB. I think he had 176 vs Tennesee and 108 vs the opats and a td in each game.

So thats nearly 300 yards and 2 TDs in two games.

It seems as if both Ricky and Ronnie do better when they are the feature back, The only game we saw good production out of both was the week 3 pats game.

I agree with you and my earlier remark about Ronnie being our closer we need to give him the ball on 3rd down. Last year before he went down he was leading the league in everything including FIRST DOWNS. I love seeing Ricky out there on earlier downs but I straight LOVE it when Ronnie's in on 3rd and short.

As for the passes thing I wouldn't hold one game against him. Sure he dropped a couple last game but that's all mental. Ronnie is a helluva screen back (remember last year against the Jets at the Meadowlands?) he's DANGEROUS in open space.

R & R should have a big week this week. I think the conditions and the fact that the Chiefs are ranked 30th in rushing and third in allowing rushing TD Miami will try to establish a running game early. Whether it is using the WC or an unbalance or just smash football expect Miami to run the ball at KC.

I see them trying to do that as well. I want Ronnie to have a big game. He's had pretty good ones all year but only a few HUGE games. Hopefully he can do something. The Chiefs are a mess right now so hopefully with Carl Peterson being out this week and the weather being so cold hopefully we'll just want it more than they do.

I think they can and will achieve 2000 yards from scrimmage. For the most part I'm very pleased with the consistency and split role they've been having. The one thing I haven't been to fond of is the way they sometimes take out the "hot" back just to keep things even. If Ronnie Brown is picking up yards I don't see why under any circumstances we bring Ricky in unless Ronnie is tired. Quite a few times Ronnie will get a big 7 or 8 yard gain on first and I'll see him trot off to the sideline.

These next few weeks Ronnie and Ricky should be a HUGE part of the gameplan. 250 on the ground v.s Chiefs.

These two are the reason i think we can end up doing some serious damage this year. These next two weeks these two need to carry us to the playoffs, and i think they will, starting with KC.

His limited carries may be what has kept him healthy. Lets be grateful for the health that they both have, and that the formula that is in place is working right now. Teams game plan for R & R and that opens up the passing game. When one door closes another one opens, and I'm glad it has all happened this way.

Yes yes YES ! I have been saying that all season.

Whenever Ronnie runs a toss sweep it averages 6 yards per carry. During the last New England game Ronnie was chewing up the Patriots with those runs during the the early and middle part of that game.

Then, Sparano had the stupid idea of running the backs inside where Wilfork was destroying Satele and we were lucky to get 2 yards.. STUPID STUPID decision !.. If we kept running them off tackle on the edges, or sweeps, we would have been on the field longer offensively and would have probably beaten the Patriots.

I was so livid during that game when we kept running inside, even though whenever we ran outside we were very VERY successful in that game (and other games).

Sweep Sweep Sweep ! We are so good at those toss sweeps ( pitch sweeps). And I noticed it way back in preseason when we dominated running those plays. I hope the coaching staff is reading this.

Don't forget the O line has lost two key players at left and right guard. We have done well considering those injuries.

yeah statistically, Ronnie's best running average comes out of the wildcat and when sweeping to the left or right.
