..........alright enough's enough.......this board is being flooded with Randy crap that could be condensed into one thread. Here ya go.......anything you've got to say about Randy and his situation say it here....... no need to create 30 other threads........use this one for God sakes.

This thread ain't doing so well... oh well, I'll post.

I don't know what's gonna happen to him or what he's going to do about it. The one thing I do want to say is: Who the hell cares?!?! Seriously. Why can't the NFL and everyone else mind their own business.

He didn't begin to beat someone down on the 50 yard line. He did it in his own time. Not saying that what he did was right... But I don't know why the NFL has to try to get involved with everything. :fire:

if you or i did something like this and our employers found out, wouldn't their be some kind of repercussions?

Randy is a MORON! If you are having that many problems with your wife, leave her!! Specially being a pro sports athlete, this guys probably got many other options with other women, I just dont get it.

I think he should get suspended so that he can realize the seriousness of his actions. We need the guy but these dumb A$$ players are messing their careers up because of it.

The league is thier employer. They have every right to act if an employee gets in trouble.

i thaught from the title, this thread would only be for updates with facts and comments from NFL officials, players, and McMic himself.

but since its not......

i dont see how they can suspend him till the cops decide what to do.
but he is definalty making the team look bad. but hes a very good player, so i dont think they will trade him, or cut him. they will probubly "support" him. :shakeno:

maybe this year he won't drop passes down the stretch and lose some games :)

I don't understand why the hell he would get into trouble with the league if he's already being punished by the law. I used to think the military were the only ones that got you screwed a second time if you commited a crime. Was what he did right.....NO!!! Should he face consequences for his actions.........YES!!! Should he be subjected to discipline by the law AND the league.......I Don't Think He Should, I'm not saying he should get special treatment because he's an athlete, I'm just saying he shouldn't get double jeapordy!!! The other thing that doesn't make sense to me either is one of these guys could get into a fight with a teammate during practice, and they'll just pull them apart and NOTHING will be done to the players, but one of those guys gets into a minor altercation AWAY from the field, that is nowhere near there "JOB" and they get into all kinds of trouble with the team/league

I've come to my own conclusion that this is an ugly subject. Quite simply, no good can come from this -- from Randy and Cawannas perspective, from the NFL's perspective, from the team's perspective and more specificly right now, no good can come from this board.

Today has been the roughest day I've seen on this board in terms of an argumentative presence between board members. The harshest in terms of opinionation and subjectiveness. I think that as FinHeaven representatives, we must colloquialiate ourselves and conform to our own standards. By no means must we agree on the issues but we cannot let ourselves condemn our fellow board members for taking an objective stance.

From my experience on this issue so far, not nearly enough evidence or conviction has been brought foward to draw close-minded conclusions, or any conclusions for that matter. We must go with what we have and not fall victim to media bureaucracy. We, as fans of the Miami Dolphins must be optimistic and positive in our support and reasoning as of this time, whilst no emitted clairty has substantiated in regards to this issue.

To the members of this forum who have voiced their opinion of hatred and explosive negativity, I feel that without validity, negativity takes no form, and is therefore merely a stance of no relevance in society. I therefore ask for you to not dismiss others for feeling so outstretched in their disagreement. (Note: I'm not a moderator, administrator or any other enforcer of rules or service at this forum but these are my opinions on how to 'grease the cog' of this site more effectively when relating to this issue).

if you work a basic 9-5 job. and are arested for "beating your wife", do you think your boss will be looking for a reason to fire you?

but R. Moss ran over a cop, and nothing really came of that. so who knows.

If I were to be involved in a problem out of work (that wasnt a felony and a conviction of that felony), my job doesnt have to know.(so long as i doesnt affect my work). The reason the NFL gets involved with players "off field" problems is because they are made public. And the NFL as an organization has an Image to uphold. It simply cannot be "swept under the rug" or ignored. These players are role models(like it or not) to kids. How would it look to a young child, if the NFL did nothing when one of its stars commits a crime. It would send the wrong message. And yes, i know, atheletes DO get away with more than the average person, but the NFL still has to send a message that these things are wrong.
Should a player be banned from ever playing again for a minor off field problem? No. But because they are in the public eye, they have a responsibility to keep a certain image. Its part of the job. Do all athletes care about their image? No. (see Randy Moss and Dennis Rodman). Should they? Yes. they have alot of kids who look up to them. JMHO.

RM likes to dress up like a pimp for Halloween, drive around in an '84 Coupe De Ville, & beat his wife...maybe its time to act like a man & grow up.

If not and living "the hood life" is what he's after...why not move to a pathetic, stank ghetto like Buffalo!

For comparison, in 2002, former linebacker Derrick Rodgers was suspended for one game after pleading no contest to an aggravated assault charge against his wife and another man.

the most McMichael will get is a one game suspension just like Rodgers did only he not only beat his wife, he beat two people
