The RB's

Murray's 2 biggest problems are his injury history and his size . . . just not a fan of those more upright runners over 6 feet. However he is quick tho and a hell of a pass catcher . . . he would definitely be an upgrade from Patrick Cobbs IMO as Cobbs has lost a step from the injuries. I wouldn't mind him as a 3rd down back at all . . . just don't draft him expecting him to carry the load. The added value on returns is always welcome.

I'm for all drafting Murray as an "all purpose weapon." However, if this regimes has plans of using him as an every down back, it'll be a move that will blow up right in their face. I'm also big on Quizz Rodgers, Shane Vereen, Kendall Hunter, and Allen Bradford.

Right but i see him as the versatile runner who could complement a pure runner such as Ingram if we draft him, Murray would be like our Deangelo Williams or Jerome Harrison players who complement well.

I'd pair him with someone like Allen Bradford. I think that would be an excellent combination.

I have loved Murray all year. But he does need to be paired with a bruiser. If we could get a guy like Michael Bush and Murray I wouldn't mind that. But I'm not too big on Bush.

I really like both Taiwan Jones and Alex Green.

I think that fumble by Green in the Senior Bowl was a fluke thing and I also think his knee was down.

I still like DeMarco Murray as a role player and even flanked in 4 wides. I hope more is made of this. He may be available in the 4th.
Taiwan Jones is an exciting guy. He has great acceleration but he is a tall guy and not that heavy. Of he can get down behind his pads he'll be okay. Bit if not then he won't be sucessful

demarco murrays got some burst but my god if you can't see how much space he's operating in even on those damn youtube clips i don't know what to tell ya...he runs with awful pad level is almost erect you better be one tough hard nosed explosive sob if you are gonna run that high in the nfl and expect to survive...he gives guys way too much to tackle...constantly dinged up...i see zero to make me think he's interested in running inside in a downhill power running scheme...in pass pro leads with his head too much and gets overextended not someone i think you can trust to keep your qb clean...by far best thing he brings to the table at the next level is as a pass catcher out of the backfield or even split out in some sets...

allen bradford...that kid looks like a pretty darn good bargain in the draft...i'd burn a pick on him in a heartbeat

I'm beginning to think more and more that the Dolphins are going to roll the dice on giving more carries to Lex Hilliard and pairing him with a shiftier change of pace guy either in the draft (in the form of Kendall Hunter, Bilal Powell, Jordon Todman, Shane Vareen, etc), or -- less likely -- through free agency (Ahmad Bradshaw and DeAngelo Williams both fit this profile)... and then call the position done.

Meaning, it would no longer shock me for them not to resign Ricky Williams or Ronnie Brown... and also not to really consider guys like Mark Ingram, Daniel Thomas, Mikel LeShoure, John Clay, Allen Bradford, etc in the draft.

I'm not a big fan of Hilliard at all. He reminds me of nothing more than a big Karim Abdul-Jabbar -- a straight ahead guy with limited vision, no patience and no creativity or moves in the hole. But I'm getting the sense (I don't have any special sources, this is more of a spidey sense thing) that they might be strongly considering giving him a real shot at being a 150 carry guy as part of a true backfield committee with him, Sheets, Cobbs, and a draft pick all sharing the load.

That truly might end up being our future, as ugly as it sounds. And if we're going to roll that way, we better invest in some more offensive lineman, that's all I'll say.

Hilliard is terrible.

Hoops, Over/under for Murray in his rookie season: 850 total yards?

if its total yards from scrimmage and not including easy yardage like returns should he play them i'll take the under...as in rushing and receiving i will take the under...and injuries have to count because i think he's a MAJOR injury risk

i'd be surprised if he's active in more than 8 games...to be honest

I used that number because it's about (10 yards more than) 6 yards per touch at 10 touches per game over a 14 game stretch.
