The real deal!!! Tannehill

Defense has not helped in a lot of losses: terrible against Tampa, terrible in the 2nd half of NE, terrible against a practice squad Qb for Buffalo, no shows in New Orleans, gave up a lead against Baltimore, might have got blown out yesterday if Pitt kept running the ball, oh and 1 inch away from praying for a review against Pitt.

I agree, but we were also robbed by the refs in the Patriots game and Panthers game, its just the way it goes.

I never got an answer when Big Ben did that forward lateral, on the desperation last play, would the TD been overturn? Is that a reviewable play had the receiver stayed in bounds?

I'm all for letting Tanne grow and getting better. I'm liking him.....but his QB rating and QBR are pretty low. Passing yards is one of the least important stats. He's getting better but the stats that you posted don't mean much compared to other stats. Hopefully he can continue doing better and land us in the playoffs. Would be a nice change.

Had the receiver stayed in bounds, it would have been a touchdown and thus automatically reviewed.

how taking what the defense gives you, and do you take in consideration the yac yardage? a 2 yard pass could turn into a 30 yard gain, so please clarify because some of this stuff you be writing is dependant on what the guy do with the football once he gets it.

All scores are reviewed and the coach could still use his challenge.

He's scoring more TD's. He is taking off running more. Its a part of his game now that teams dont recognize. He faked out the entire Pitt D in the snow.

and the diff is the recievers are breaking tackles while in stride. The offense is designed to succeed that way. Hitting the receiver just right so they can yac and score. Hartline, Clay, and Wallace are doing it.

It was barely 6 yards per attempt yesterday. I realize nobody wants to hear that. Tannehill needs to get out of that range, where he's been stuck for two seasons. There are not examples of elite quarterbacks who average 6.8 yards per attempt, which was Tannehill's number last season and also this year. Only the methods to get there alter slightly. This season he's higher in completion percentage but similarly lower in yards per completion.

If the quarterbacks were switched yesterday, Miami wins that game handily. Again, I realize that's something nobody wants to hear because the bottom line cooperated. We are a better team than the Steelers but it barely played out that way because our quarterback is stuck at a moderate level.

We managed the 30 point barrier. That's fantastic. Now Tannehill needs to get rid of the mechanical aspects, the ones Cowher referenced, and realize there's nothing illegal about a game or several with 8+ yards per attempt, no interceptions, and several arrogant touchdowns.

It seems like I read somewhere that Sunday was Tannehill's first time playing in the snow. I could be wrong. If true though, I'd say that even with the 6/YPA, he performed pretty damn well.
