The Real McCoy

Thanks Hayden on the write up, I don't know anything about McCoy thanks for the research, I do disagree with you on the success he had this yr. Tebow won games because the D played great during that stretch of games.....Tebow also ran a college offense because he didnt have the skills to run a pro offense.....Yes he changed the O to fit Tebow but so didnt Dan Henning with the wildcat and I dont want him as HC....

His work in Carolina coaching Moore is a big plus because I dont think we have enough juice to trade up to get RG3....I Think RG will go in the top 3 picks once all the hype leading up to the draft.
I'm really undecided as far as McCoy goes. I've seen points for him that seem valid but I also can see what you are stating here. As far as having the juice,we definately do. Of course this would basically involve giving up our next two drafts, which I definately could see happening.I for one would not be in favor of this but as Hayden said that is for another thread.

he certainly looks intense.
I agree, although what the guy looks like doesnt mean anything, on a level playing field, I'd take the guy who looks like a though SOB... Zimmer and Mccoy fit the description.

The nice thing about McCoy is that Nolan would likely remain the DC. Young and starting to get buzz around the league. Hiring him as a head coach this year might be a little early, but he is a classic high risk/reward type coach.

I prefer Toub or Zimmer, but McCoy has some positives that make him an intriguing candidate.

For the record, I think Philbin gets the job in my handicapping prediction. I have not feel for Philbin. I am not sure what he is responsible for in Green Bay or not.

I would be fired up for Zimmer and McCoy...I really like both guys for slightly different reasons.

I also could live with Todd Bowles in the end. Bowles still is viable in my mind, but I feel he has not chance at the job.

Dave Toub I have no feeling on...

Good write up, but what does concern me is the drop off in production from the previous year when McDaniels was calling the shots.

Id prefer Chudzinski. When you look at who got the most out of the talent given, id argue, that out of every offensive & defensive co-ord, nobody got more out of what they given.

Top 6 Offense, with a rookie QB, whom many thought would never make an NFL QB.

I cannot lie...Chud a guy (along with Billick I supposed) that they have not talked to that I wished they had. ...Mike Pettine was also in a similar category for me. Outside of that I like who they have interviewed

At the start, I wanted the following to be interviewed...
Todd Bowles
Brian Billick
Jeff Fisher
Joe Philbin
Mike Sherman
Mike Zimmer

They have interviewed 4 of those 6. Since McCoy came on my radar after Fisher spurned Miami and ironically enough they interviewed him Monday. Should be interesting.

Good job on the write up Hayden and it gives a new insight into McCoy. Still waiting for word on Chud but it seems they got all they needed from last years interview that he is not ready to be a HC. It will be interesting to see if he gets a second interview with anyone.

I am hoping for Zimmer but if McCoy has blown them away than great.

So if San Fran loses this week would you also be in favor of interviewing Greg Roman (49ers OC) ? He has taken and found a way to win and make Alex Smith look like a viable QB after 6 other OC's have failed to do so.

interesting stuff but the playing to tebows strengths stuff is not some awe inspiring skill imo and if you have watched enough game tape of rg3 you'll know that there's no way mccoy can run the same offense with rg3 he's ran with tebow....there's no way rg3 can take that kind of contact in the pros and survive...hell he takes too much real contact in college...i do believe though that if mccoy comes here our hat will be in the trade up for rg3 sweepstakes

one good thing though...he rocks a visor year round...just like hoops

McCoy might be the man for the job, especially if Miami drafts a QB in round two to develop(Tannehill, Weeden, etc.)

Let Nolan take the defense and worry about that while McCoy takes the offense to new highs.

The fact that Mike McCoy is being called back so quickly for a second interview gives him great chance of getting Miami job.

I told everyone that he would kill the interview. According to our boy La Confora, he slayed the interview.
