The REAL problem with the Miami Dolphins and this Regime

We have too many quite soft spoken guys in the locker room that just goes about their business, don't say much, says nothing in the media. Too nice to call out other teammates when they screw up, too nice or SCARED to ask the coaches what the hell are they doing, etc.. What management don't seem to understand is that ... this aint college, and you can't just threaten a guy with being cut to keep him in line and think you're going to be successful. People like to feel appreciated, people like to feel like their wanted and that their opinion matters in order to fully by in to an organization. I get paid to come to work everyday. But I'm respected and my opinion is valued and appreciated and management makes me feel that way, therefore, I don't have a problem coming in to work on weekends or after hours when something needs getting done. I don't mind going the extra mile to help a co-worker or a customer etc.. If I was just working for a paycheck, I wouldn't be so willing to do any of those things. Just because these guys make millions don't mean they are any different. And guess what, they are in a better position than I am because they have 31 other teams that would be willing to pay them millions.

Philbins style is what we are seeing and is OK especially after we saw what Marshall did to the team on the sidelines. On the other hand IMO Sherman is currently a big issue on the offensive things we are dealing with in that he needs to make adjustments after halftime and on the fly he could not do it at Texas A&M and it led to him getting fired.
PS I would also suggest a new offensive line coach while we are making changes. DUH
On the defense I beleive the secondary has imporved but we need a good linebacking coach who is able to assit Ireland in evalutating instinctual linebackers instead of just smaller guys who can rush the passer.
Those are the areas I would be focussed on if I am Philbin. He better be because if this season goes south he will not get through next year unless he does real well.

Sorry if I get a little long winded here but I have to in order to get this point across. After watching the Cowboys game and seeing Dez Bryant blow up on the sidelines, I think I realized what the REAL problem with this regime is... Jeff Ireland (a product of B. Parcells) has created a culture where players don't feel like they are a part of something. He's created an atmosphere where players approach the game as a Business. They are only invested in it for their own personal gains. players don't feel like it's their team, so they don't bring that passion and dedication that you need to be successful. Now let me explain. This regime does not want players with the passion of Dez Bryant. They don't want players on the team that will openly question what the hell the coaches are doing. The one's that did..... Got CUT or TRADED! B. Marshall.... Gone, the entire "Leadership Council" GONE! All the council was saying is that "Coach, this is OUR locker room, before we go getting rid of players that we feel can help us win, why not give us a chance as LEADERS and MEN, to deal with the situation internally" What did Philbin and Jeffy boy do?? Got Rid of them all. When you treat players like they are beneath you, and that they have no say so in what goes on with the team.... you create a very selfish environment. Players start playing less for the team and more for themselves. They do just enough to stay on the team an collect a paycheck but not much extra. Channing Crowder said it on the radio the other day, he said that guys were content with playing for a paycheck. They show up to all the mandatory stuff, play the game, collect their check and go home. No passion, NO sense of belonging to something greater, a team, a family. I want players like Dez Bryant on my team. Players that are man enough to go to Mike Sherman when we were very successful running the ball in one half and abandoned it in the second half and say "HEY COACH.. WTF???" I want players like T. Brady that will openly YELL at a WR for running the wrong route or dropping a pass. I WANT THOSE PLAYERS ON MY TEAM, I NEED THOSE PLAYERS ON MY TEAM. Name me one player on this current team that fits that description? Who will openly yell at a player for screwing up? Who will go to a coach on the sideline and say hey man WTH are we doing?? Tannehill wont do it, Ellerbe won't do it, Wallace won't do it, Hartline? NOPE. Maybe Richie Incognito, but I'm not sure. Until we fix this... we will never be good.

You are on to something. Somebody needs to be kicked in the balls somewhere along the line to keep everybody else focused. Everybody just seems go along with Philbins easy going demeanor acting like everything is going to fix itself.

The lack of paragraph structure makes my head spin couldn't read it.

Bryant was pissed because he realized he's nowhere near the talent Calvin Johnson is, no matter how many people seem to think that.

You are ABSOLUTELY 100% right. I was pointing that out on Sunday I said man, say what you want but Brady is a true leader

That is why I wish the Dolphins would have hired Mike Zimmerman the Bengals defensive coordinator. Those dudes play hard for him on defense. Unfortunately we will see it up close tomorrow.

I didn't read all of this. Use the 'enter' button.

From what I did read. Get real - This isn't highschool football and if you don't think it is a BUSINESS for every player on every team you are extremely naive.

Also, Dez isn't doing any of the things you want someone to do on our team. He isn't calling coaches out, he isn't calling players out, he's being a cheerleader. Go watch the video with sideline audio. Yelling at players when they do something wrong isn't how you handle any situation.

Yeah, Brady is such a leader, throwing temper tantrums on the sideline cause his rookie WRs aren't catching the ball. He didn't go sit down and coach them up. He screamed about it on the sideline like a child. He even admitted he needed to work on his attitude when things aren't going right.

What the hell is good about that?

absolutely no leadership. When marino got sacked, He was in the lineman's face with rage. Not this team
