He is still in the running for both the Texans and Saints HC position. Obviously his chances seem less likely given the owners are on the other end of the lawsuit.
I have watched the interviews on CBS and ESPN today. Flores is not the disgruntled, hurt, angry, enraged, vengeful black man I have seen many posters on this site makes him out to be.
So many people jump to a rash judgment, playing amateur psychologists claiming they know Flores motives biased by their own prejudices.
Flores is principle-centered. He also acknowledged he felt humiliated, hurt and angry about the text from BB. A normal response to a difficult experience.
He seems genuine to me that he is in it for change. At a minimum, shining light on what is really going on behind closed doors.
If he was in it for the money, he would have waited for the Texans and Saints hire.
I predict we will be hearing from a lot more previous coaches and assistant coaches who have had similar experiences.
Already hearing from Hue Jackson about being rewarded from losing and Marvin Lewis about a sham interview.
Doesn’t mean every team does it or every interview is a sham, but happens enough.
70% of players are of color and 3% of HCs are black. Literally 1 HC.
Numbers don’t lie.
