The real reality of being 0-2

We have lost both home games by way more than a touchdownj. there is no way Houston should have handled us so easy. 0-2 is not fine if u want your team to make the playoffs because u have already stacked the deck against u. Now most people are seriously questioning can we beat the Browns. if we lose this game sparano needs to be gone asap no excuses.
I am not saying we dont have issues. I know we need to turn it around quickly. We need to win a game for starters. All I am saying is, being 0-2 against the teams we played isnt that bad. We need to turn it around, get all the players together and playing with chemisty and heart and we will win some games! We are low on confidence right now. The talent is there to win 8-10 games!

this is similar to the thread i just put up. If these 2 games were not back to back and were in the middle of the season - we would expect to lose them, but since they were back to back to open they are devastating, and there is some truth to that since it kills a teams confidence. That being said,

those were 2 of the most difficult games on the schedule, yes we have more tough ones, but also some less tough ones coming up.

also the first game our offense was good, but unbalanced - no running attack, no d. thomas etc. and our D was horrible. Against the Texans our D Was average, our running attack looked good with Thomas, but we forget to implement reggie on passing downs and commited TWO very costly turnovers.

this team has not clicked yet, once it clicks, if its within the next few weeks, we can be still in contention.
i disagree.

i dont ''EXPECT'' this team to lose any game, but their are some games where its understood that they lose due to just not having enough talent to keep up with certain teams, etc. However, losing while giving no effort is inexcusable no matter what team it is to. losing to the pats can be understood being that they are a better team than us, but it was just the lack of effort we gave, especially on defense.

as for the texans, not only did i not expect to lose to them, i expected to beat them no matter when the game was played. we are talking about the texans. the texans are a solid football team, nothing else. they got a pretty solid qb, the best wr in the game, and a pretty solid pass rush.

overall, their defense is pretty poor, being last year they were dead last i believe in defense, and they didnt really improve so much in that department this offseason. yes they signed joseph but he got hurt, and even if he did play, he does not make that defense that much better. we scored 13 freaking points vs a very bad defense, at home. thats unacceptable.

Uninterested...like the Fin Fans attending Home Games...Uninterested

From a human standpoint, why expect a team to give a Flip about fans that don't give a flip about them. Miami hasn't had homefield advantage in a while

yea thats the reason they have 4 of 5 lsoing seasons and are probably headed to a 5th

yeah, and we'll hear the same crap when we're 0-3...and 0-4....

more of the same from the "Titanic is unsinkable" crowd...

2 conference losses mean we have already been mathmaticaly eliminated from the playoffs that is the reality

I just want to try to be realistic for a moment. People are talking like our team is an elite team and should be 2-0 .
The reality is: The Patriots were 14-2 last year. Try to grasp that! We were 7-9. The Patriots are in another league as much as we hate to admit. So we arent supposed to beat the Patriots right now. We are not good enough right now. So 0-1 get over it, half the teams are 0-1 after the 1st week.

Ok, now we play the Texans. We have never beaten the Texans. We are home this time, so maybe we can pull one out. But again, realistically, with our team having a new OC, new RB's and a new mind-set, we havent really clicked on chemistry or cylinders. We know this is the Texans year to win their division. And then we run a 4 pm game and make it easier on the Texans. Im not surprised that we lost, but I would of liked it. We need to win games at home, period! But we didnt so 0-2

Now, from a homeristic point of view and thinking the Dolphins can win 9-10 games means we will lose 6-7 games. Ok, so lets play this out and say this team starts to come together starting next week

Games we can win Cleveland, Denver, Kansas City (injuries), Raiders, (4 wins)

Divisional teams, should split with Jets and Bills (2 wins)

Tough games we play Chargers, NY Giants, Washington, Dallas, Philadelphia

My thought is we can beat the Giants, Washington, Chargers and Dallas
We usually play Chargers and Dallas well, so I will take a split and say
we get better and better and we take 3 of those 5 (3 wins)

The last is can we beat the Patriots in their home the 2nd game we play
that will make the difference of the year! If we beat the patriots we can
be a 10 win team!! (1 win)

10-6

So if we go 9-7 it means either we dont split with our division rivals or
lose another game to those NFC east teams

So dont panic yet, realistically we are supposed to lose those games we
lost and at best we could of snuck one out, but we didnt!!!

Please take off your blinders. It wasn't chemistry or not "clicking on cylinders" that lost the game for the Dolphins yesterday. It was a poor offensive line, an inaccurate quarterback, a fumbling rookie running back, terrible coaching decisions like putting Nolan Carroll on Andre Johnson, lack of consistent pass rush, poor tackling, missed & blocked FGs, and an overall lack of big plays and productive players. This team's problem go much deeper than chemistry or clicking.

We will have our true answer about this team then I believe. Its still a little too early to tell

Too early to tell what? The first two games of this year have simply continued a trend from last year of poor, mistake-riddled, uninspired play. How much more indication do you need? It's clear that a change in leadership is needed.

I am an optomist and like seeing your optimism but there comes a point where you have to be realistic. For 3 years under this regime the most used words have been what if, play better, if only, and we could.

After 3 years of assessment we cant, we wont, there is no ifs and we are not getting better.

Even if they beat Cleveland the only other wins MAY be Denver and Kansas City. You are failing to realize this team is poorly coached and is quickly falling apart mentally.

The Dolphins may win 3 games this year and none will be in the AFC East.

the talent is there, so its just a matter of getting everyone on the A Train, and yes that is Sparanos job
but I think we need another leader to step up and be a locker room guru, maybe Jason Taylor, Brandon and Henne???

What talent?? Name someone who consistently makes game changing plays, creates turnovers, or is worthy of All Pro Status other then Jake Long.

Talent my ***.
