The real reason presscoverage received such a hostile response other than what skeptics generally give is that many of us see the season from hell creeping into this year. The so called curse of last year. And the messenger of the initial bad news of the year was likely to get shot. Be honest guys. How many of you are thinking about what happened last year and saying "not again". I have to admit I have.

That thought did cross my mind initially. But my own fears wouldn't cloud my judgement.

The real reason was he's a new poster and had a breaking news story. 99.9% of the time they are trolls just trying to cause trouble. Press just happens to be apart of the .1% who have a real story.

A lot of bad posters ruin it for the good ones.

I admit it came across my mind, but I not going to think everything's gone to hell. Yes, I was looking forward to Poole's performance, but we just got to all move on. I think we have a pretty good season in stored for us. Hopefully the Poole injury isn't serious, but I'm not panicing.

I buy that explanation, but I still think we are thinking twice bitten

I think we are still thinking here we go again. I do buy your explanation that first time threaders are often imposters. Cry wolf syndrome I suppose. Well, this wolf reminded us of last years slaughter.

Very true.

This is reminding me of Boston from last year.

I am just waiting for more bad knees.

BUt nothing is confirmed it might not be as bad as we are lead to believe, plus it might be exaggerated.

If not, then every team sustains injuries and the Phins will have to make due.

Go through the members list, and right around page 150 you'll come across all the people that registered and only posted once... How many of those do you think had something legit to say? the percentages are on the side of the cautious, a lot of trolls have come and gone, (and as I type this they are registering again) and until somebody has been here a little while and posted in a few threads, older posters don't trust anybody.

It's the exact same thing in real life also. you can't go to a new job, or a new hangout without some break-in period.

wait, is this the boston red sox pre-2004 sky is falling message boards?

i think the defense could be stacked... plus, we haven't really seen what feeley can do, and the coaching staff is much MUCH better.... i haven't been this optimistic since 1994... cheer up.... every visitor will suffer through south florida 1 p.m. heat this year.... 8-9 wins... guaranteed...

again, i have no link or source... sorry

I don't have a problem this year worrying about injuries, after all, the pats had a good coach and no depth, yet for every injury they had, BB had an answer. That's coaching, and no team is going to wind up the season with the same roster they start it with.

and it was rather boring in here earlier..... thats changed now...

i am quite shocked he was telling the truth, look like a troll for sure....

:shakeno:

Every time you come on here you are gonna bust down the doors with your chest poked out and your chin high in the air, and hold this whole thing over everyone's head, aren't you.

I probably would too.

well, he was ripped pretty hard by alot of people and a lot of name calling. I'd say he and "us" will adjust just fine and, of course, we'll continue to be leary of "new" news from newbs on the board but maybe as a group we should ask for sources and if none are given....ignore or wait rather then scorn and criticize. BS threads started will die off (rather then be the top thread which is what the BS poster wants) and if it's true (albeit rarely) the thread will resurface and the original poster given credit where credit's due.

LOL, I am a big optimist and there are many things to look forward to.

Like I said there will always be injuries. The Phins will; just have to make due.

I've been out all day but this seems like I've walked into a salughter house with a whole bunch of headless chickens running around over Will Poole's injury.
