Our defnese stepped the hell up!! against maybe the best offense in the league. But how long can they sustain that????

we had a huge lead and the only reason we lost was WE COULD NOT PROTECT IT!!!

first off both turnovers on offense lead to saints TD's and they were absolute horrible calls!!

but we abandoned our gameplan. Henne to me looks awesome, but ginn cannot catch a cold and we still are inexperienced with the pass game. if we had STUCK with the wildcat etc at the end of the game we would have kept brees off and kept taking leads of 10, but as soon as they got close we started getting throw happy.

good news is this and the colts are GREAT teams, not good GREAT. and we are the only team to play both of them hard as we did. this year we really got screwed BAD on schedule. like real bad. next season i doubt we have such a hard schedule, plus we have some more peices and i beleive we make a run next year. HORRIBLE LOSS TO ACCEPT BUT LETS JUST BEAT THE JEST!!!!

also - ginn needs to be benched for hartline and activate turner. Ginn is just no good.

You maybe right And I shouldnt have blamed Sparano but still something deosnt feel right about this club right now.

I dont think we would have won if all we did was run the ball , we have to be able to throw and catch the ball at some point. this nonsense of just running the ball is why we havent been able to get past the 1 st and 2 rd in the playoffs.

we looked like a totally different team in the 2nd half...

We played not to lose in the second half opposed to playing to win in the first. It's as simple as that.

It looked like a totally different defense in the 2nd half. Offense too, mostly due to play calling I think.

But we lost this game due to the defense.

The offense gave them a 21 point lead early, then a 10-point lead early in the 4th.

Ball control went out the window. The play-calling was horrendous in the 4th. They must've thrown 10 straight passes at one point. Someone should look that up. Two straight 3 and outs and the Saints offense kept rolling as our defense was gassed. Run the damn ball for crying out loud!

Incomplete passes kill rhythm. Also, it looked like Ellis's backup was the real starter.

Also, there is another huge reason why we lost. The guy that's been wearing #28 and locking Gibril in the sauna came back in the 2nd half. I guess this time he kidnapped Wilson at the gatorade cooler.

Seriously, I want to see what Clemons can do before we go into the next draft. Wouldn't mind trading Wilson, Ginn, and Pennington for a Berry/Mays/Spikes/McClain pick assuming we don't fall apart enough for the early pick.

Also, Channing Crowder is great at blitzing and stuffing but unfortunately he lets guys run right by him.

Crowder's only good at running his mouth and over running plays. He needs to take that bus with Ginn and Wilson and leave this town and team.

We have a Rah-Rah coach coaching a bunch of Rah Rah type players.......emotion will only get you so far until your ability or lack thereof will eventually rear its ugly head and talent will win in the end as it did today!!!!

Usually, people saying playing not to lose are doing so because the team does nothing but try to feed the run game. We came out aggressive in the second half, trying to make plays through the passing game, but its very important to note that our running game was stuffed solid and resulted in absolutely no production in its second half chances. Probably because the defense was keyed on it and despite a couple early plays that resulted in pretty much all the yards we gained on the ground, they stopped the run game very well.

The team obviously has big holes at safety, WR and LB, but what annoyed me most is still the whole Pat White thing.

Why TF would anyone use a 2nd round draft pick for pat White?

Why TF do they keep putting him in there?

It is just a matter of time before he REALLY screws things up.

We need to give Henne more plays at QB not less plays.

Those Pat White plays were incredibly stupid.. we would have had an insurmountable lead at half if he hadn't come in. 31-3 or 35-3 probably.

The real reason we lost is we left the running game in the 2nd half when the get got closer. If we stuck with the running game and the wildcat we control the ball better and keep brees off the field to maybe win the game.

We lack a serious passing game. Our wide receivers are too small and/or too slow. Bess, Fasano, and Ginn could not hang on to the ball. Bench Bess and activate Turner. We need a new TE.

With Will Allen out our new secondary will start. Let them play and learn. Look for a 10-15 slot for drafting.
