What is the common thread between not being able to score in the redzone this year and last year? There is new playcalling, but same results. What is the constant? Henne and Sparono. When we had Pennington (and Sparono) we scored. The only constant left is Henne. He is alright in the open field, when the field is big and he doesn't have to be totally accurate. In the redzone, the QB needs great accuracy and touch (and the will), which Henne doesn't have. Sure, the playcalling is still bad and uncreative in the redzone, but the biggest problem is at QB. Henne is not good near the endzone, yet what do we do? Run 1 play and throw on 2 plays, and then kick the field goal--if this is the case, we would be better off running on all three downs. Also, he can never lead us to score when we need to, like good quarterbacks do.
