the regime is eating some sewer crow

Ochocinco is far from washed up...he will have a big year imo

I never said he was washed up, but if your thinking he will break 1000 yds receiving. I say no. I see another housmanzada ur whatever his name is spelled.

and please tell me what the hell good is getting a guy who is 35 when you have 12 draft picks every year with 6 in the first 90 and you have to come up with ocho cinco? Please CK, tell me I am wrong here.

We have few picks and get Hartline and now Gates. The equalizer for us is the QB position....and coaching.

I think the Pats are about to get snakebit. It's only a matter of time before one of there little experiments with troubled players goes wrong. Fat Albert and Ocho maybe it. I like what our front office is doining so far. Just relax everything will be fine.

Ochocinco was brought in for flexibility. Branch and Welker are good but injury prone and Tate and Price are unproven. I don't see how trading 2 late round picks for a proven player who has a good relationship with the coach and QB is a bad move, it's not like NE gave up a 2nd rounder or anything

We're looking for deals & not screwing the future up ... sounds smart to me.

The Doctors out on Irelands 1st year .... we'll see if he can defrib the 7-9 patient.

I'll patiently watch, analyze, ... and then applaud or panic!!

P.S. Belli-cheat with his truck 'o picks ... is going the way of the Jests = Rent 'o Player for a year!!

Dolphins building smart, Jests losing rental players, Patsies renting players ... nothin' could be fine-ah in my world so far!!

isn't every team that signs a free agent "renting players?" are the Dolphins renting Dansby and Marshall?

BB values draft picks and has used them well the past 3 years; using some late round picks to take a chance on a couple of players makes perfect sense.

When you are 14-2 and are in contention for the super bowl every year..... you can afford to keep these little experiments going. and by the looks of things, they always seem to work.

if i were a betting man, which i am, the smart money is on their experiments working, again, like they do every year.

I hate them as much as anyone else, but its not coincidence that they always seem to be the smartest guy in the room.

Whether, its video taping (sorry big vince have to go there), ripping al davis off, stock piling picks, or turning the leagues trash into super bowl gold, they seem to always get it right and it doesnt look like a trend that will be changing any time soon.

i think this FO is eating a little crow too guys. im not saying we should have gone out and spent dumb money on a guy like williams or bradshaw . . . but ehhh . . . we havnt really done much. the Undrafted rookies was procedure as ussual, bush was ok . . . ikd i guess maybe im being a little closed minded about all this b/c i have ZERO confidence in Chad Henne and was really pulling for someone half way decent to lead this offense, otherwise i feel like these little moves are all in vein.

my theory is simple - i think Sparano is the only guy on the hot seat right now. I dont think ross likes sparano simply b/c of his philosophy - ross has proven time and time again that he doesnt know much about Football - i think ross is actually prob a bad owner for this team. He also doesnt really seem to care about the fans (jimmy buffet song replacing our classic) i think ross thought he'd come in here and bring bus loads of the "new audience" of ppl who dont really know the sport (aka heat game-goers) and turn it into good money. Anyway, i think he can vibe with Ireland and i think he liked how Ireland went out and got Marshall even at the price - i think he likes how he got Bush , b/c i think he wants to just sell tickets. i think he doesnt care for Sparano b/c he is never going to Light it up with flashy ppl and throwing the ball all over the place - i think Ireland is playing this well for himself. He gets the big name in Bush, and he doesnt "mortgage the future" b/c by mid season sparano is going to be canned and then Ireland will keep his job and have picks/money to work with with whatever new coach comes in.

you can bank on that. its obvious now.

Pats are Desperate, Haynesworth is not the player he was 3 yrs ago but its a low risk high reward move and Ocho sucks, he cant beat one on one coverage anymore, NE moves reck of DL is not the problem in NE, the LBers are week and they cant get to the QB. I like what Ireland has done so far, dont overpay for anyone and don't reach......you dont win super bowls in FA.........if they can bring in a QB to compete I will be happy......I want Orton at the right price and will accept Vince Young if we cant get Orton. Bush gives us the game breaker we lack and the speed we need.......Plus he added some needed depth at LB and DE and special teams.....

Best record in the nfl last year and perennial super bowl contenders with Tom Brady and Belicheat are desperate?

Well than what the hell are we?

the DL was definitely a problem for NE last year; basically every week a new set o DE's were starting due to injury. by the time the playoffs came around they had to use cast offs like Landon Cohen and Atiyyah Ellison because everyone was hurt. the linebacking corp is shaping up nicely with Mayo, Spikes and Cunningham's development and will be better with a healthy dline with Warren and Brace returning. I hope they sign Manny Lawson to solidify the OLB position though.

Miami's done a good job in acquiring talent through the draft and FA the past few years. Ireland isn't overpaying for anyone and Bush will help in the passing, running and return game. Since you guys are so concerned about hte oline, Justin Smiley was released earlier today; maybe Ireland will re-sign him due to experience in Sparano's system.
