I'm proud of most of this forum over the past several months. You have stepped back from the ledge to lead a fandom of relative normalcy. Let me reiterate a few points.

  • Kudos to the new FO for drafting Ryan Tannehill. Though, being a first round pick doesn't mean he should start right away.
  • There is nothing wrong with David Garrard getting some recognition. He was a pretty good quarterback in JAX and I would be confident with him temporarily
  • We do not have the worst receiving corps in the NFL. We have the second or third worst receiving corps in the league. :err:
  • Hard Knocks...it is what it is. Shut up and enjoy some spotlight for a change. It will be compelling and interesting.
  • The media world is not out to get us. (Besides Mike Florio. **** you Mike Florio)
  • Cameron Wake being snubbed out of the NFL's top 100 is pretty awful, but given most lists around this time (besides this one :hi5: ) are time or content fillers, you shouldn't let it ruin the month between now and training camp.
  • No, Chad Ochocinco was not signed as a replacement to Brandon Marshall. The two moves had nothing to do with each other.
  • We aren't making the playoffs this year unless some miraculous turn of events comes to fruition. Still, we aren't too far away.
  • Last but not least, Mark Sanchez is still a vagina.

That is all.

Agree with most of your post, to yhour last 3 points I would say the following:

1) Brandon's departure left a whole that possibly can be filled by Ocho, so I don't agree with your assessment there.

2) It will not take a miracle to make the playoffs, just certain things to come together and gel as a team. The defense is more than capable of playing playoff caliber and is no stretch or miracle away from playing that quality of football. The O-line has enough talent to play that level of football. The biggest thing as always will be the QB position. Just like in 2008, the play of Pennington for the most part led to a playoff season.

3) Who cares?

Let me rephrase: The staff did not trade Marshall with the intention of replacing him with Chad Ochocinco. While Marshall's trade did leave a hole at the receiver position, the two events are completely independent of one another.

Even with a strong defense, our offense (to me anyways) seems like it's pretty one dimensional. It won't be risky for a lot of teams to load the box and crowd the line of scrimmage. Like any offense, quarterback play will be key. Moving around R Bush will also be a huge key. I have confidence in the scheme, though I don't have full confidence in some of the players we have in this scheme right now. Lots of solid players, but we lack players that can dominate.
