Still Perfect.. and You're Not.
It's been awhile since I have posted on here regularly and to be honest I missed the board. I took a month long vacation in Miami as I recently bought a vacation condo on Biscayne Blvd. I sent some time watching Dolphins practice etc. and I have to be honest there are 6 players who really stand out to me. I should be back for awhile and not positing via my Blackberry so hopefully I can try to offer some insight.
Ted Ginn Jr. looks like an entirely different player. He is starting to play with some confidence, a swagger if you will and it's exciting. The speed this guy has is crazy and he was catching everything thrown his way. Can Teddy Ginn be that #1 receiver? that determines to be seen but I am making a bold prediction of 1,000 yard season and a BREAKOUT year for Mr. Ginn.
Jake Grove is a guy we signed that raised a lot of question. People were upset that we rid of Samson Satele but the truth is that Jake Grove is a much more superior football player right now. Grove is a nasty SOB and he takes practice very seriouslly. I think Grove is the best played we added to last years' roster.
Patrick Turner was a draft pick that baffled the media but I think it could be a pick of genius. The guy has Plaxico Burress size and runs very good routes. Not to mention that he is much faster than I anticipated. His hands might sweat some kind of glue material because nothing throwin his way touched the ground.
Sean Smith and Vontae Davis: I'll count them as one player even though I truely believe we got two of the best corners in this draft. Sean Smith's size is impresive but the fuidness of his feet is amazing. The physical nature of Vontae Davis is impressive as is his speed and change of direction. This combination reminds me of a more talented Surtain/Madison
Cameron Wake has a lot of people worried because he is running with the third and 4th team. Let me make this loud and clear Cameron Wake is a lock for this roster and will be a diamond in the rough for this team. Why? The guy is a gifted pass rusher as we all know but his speed is simply amazing. I think he is faster than 75% of our secondary. This guy will have a chance to learn from Jason Taylor and Joey Porter and give him a years' time and he could be an absolute monster. Watching him play made me think we drafted him in Round 1
Then there is Davone Bess who is quickly becoming my favorite player. If we do adoptive parents thi year I call dibs on Bess. This guy gives everything on every play and will be one of the best slot receivers in this league. Lock him up now.
I will have more later but I am back and excited for our Dolphins this year.. They will repeat as division champions
