Today Tannehill threw the ball well enough to win the game. The defense played very good against a potent offense thats been putting 30+ on teams all year. The complete lack of a running game simply put cost us a game we would have won easily if we had been able to move the ball on the ground. Trading Bush looks really stupid now especially since we didn't bring in a proven talented runningback to replace him. Ireland thinking we've got Miller and Thomas, we'll be fine is an epic fail that has taken all the teeth out of our offense. If you can't have a respectabe ground game it kills you on so many levels that I can't believe we didn't make it a priority during the off-season. I've seen cases where the o-line isn't doing the job in runblocking solved by bringing in a back that hits the hole with power and brings experiance and vision to the table. Philbin in his post game presser said that the complete lack of a running game MAY have hurt play-action. DO YOU REALLY THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? Bush was moved out because of negative plays???? I must have seen 10 of them today!! We really cleaned that up!! We have to fix this problem to give us a chance to be a better team and we don't have the talent on our roster right now to do it so again Ireland has crushed us with his erroronious thinking. I'm a fan of Miller but he's a nice change of pace scatback. We drafted Gillislee(sp) but he isn't good enough to even be active. Another bust for Ireland?? No running game is killing us in the redzone, putting us behind the chains constantly, taking the threat off play-action off the table, murdering us late in the game when we need to rack up clock killing first downs etc. I think this can only be fixed in the offseason, that's the worst part of this. Meanwhile, it keeps costing us games.

28/42 for 300 yards and a TD usually is good enough. Being unable to kill clock by running in the 4th truly killed us.

Our talent evaluators still suck

Jordan is only good enough to be a situational player.
Miller was only good enough for limited snap last season.
Matthews is our fourth receiver. He is better than that.
Our scrap together line looks as good as the starters.
DT is regressing I cant name one thing he excels at. Miller is at least fast.
Egnew is Egnew.

Run blocking wasn't good but there were holes that were missed. Letting Bush walk was incredibly stupid.

The running game is going to get shut down from time to time. The answer to that is a go-to tight end and a possession receiver who can move the chains, neither of which we had today.

This was the first game in which you might be able to say that Brandon Gibson's absence was actually the difference.

This was called out by the announcers today! Vision would have helped us pick up a little more ypc today. Even when we bust one we always miss the one cut that would take it home. The Miller run during the Cincy game comes to mind.

I'd feel much better if thr runnin game was shut down from time to time. It's an epidemic that's killing the team. I'd guess that it's cost us 3 or 4 games! We're a completly different team with a viable ground game. I'm not saying potent! Simply viable, servicable, not horrible!

Maybe if they tried to run from the Single,I once in a while and stop all these Shotgun runs. Come on!

What running game? Daniel Thomas is utter Garbage. Lamar Miller has not broken or done anything. Letting Reggie Bush walk was a total failure, just like the 2013 Dolphin Season.

Rbs are average at best, and this offensive line has been bad all year at run blocking.

When we let Bush walk (I don't think we even made an offer) and said "Miller is our guy", I kinda got the feeling that Sherman/Philbin just didn't have enough respect for the importance of a running game in a pass-happy league. Add in not having a short yardage guy / FB and you have to wonder what these guys were thinking. We went young and cheap at RB and these guys blow. Add to that the O-line mess that we have (and had before the drama) and I am really amazed that we have 5 wins right now.

There was a guy we let go a couple of years ago in training camp, Kory Sheets, who rushed for 200 yards in the Grey Cup today and was named the Grey Cup MVP. Maybe he could've helped us today instead...

I bet Philbin thought he could scrape by with RBs like he did in GB. But we don't have Aaron Rodgers to make up for an awful running game. They were wrong to trust/rely on the two guys we have. Neither Miller nor Thomas are feature backs; I don't think they're particularly close to being lead backs, honestly. I'm ready to see what Gills has to offer. Who the heck knows, maybe he'll explode like the two backups in Tampa did.

I would be happy if we drafted a running back like Bishop Sankey from the U. of Washington, if he declares for the draft in 2014. He's fast, quick, great moves, tough...all the things we need in a running back. I would draft the best O-lineman in round one, and if Sankey is there in round two, I would give him a serious look.

The Dolphins need a true feature back , Miller is more of a change of pace back and Thomas is at best a #3 back. Gillislee hasn't seen the field once this year in the regular season. Still the main problem is with the offensive line. They have 2nd, 3rd and 4th stringers playing right now. Even when everyone was healthy the line wasn't very good. Major overhaul is needed next year. Hopefully we have a good GM in place to find some solid starters.
