is you cant say the Dolphins are in a rebuilding year. Many of the starters are Sabans guys he brought in, and the ones left over from Wanny are some of our best players (JT,ZT,Chambers). The best part about this team is the front 7, and none of them will be around much longer. Saban has some work cut out for him.

Your right. I think Jt will be around but I dont see Zack being here. He seems to be haveing a difficult time blitzing, he just doesn't have the size and strength. I think the D line will be very good With Roderick Wright, Fred Evans, Vickerson and Roth.

Zach has never been very effective as a blitzing lb.

Bell on the other hand is a blitzing playmaker.

Bell really is! He needs more playing time. All's he does is make plays when he is in. You're right about zach, too. I think we may be seeing the beginning of the end for him.

It's too bad for the defensive unit, (JT, Zack, KC, etc.) who have been here awhile and not had much success as a team. Unfortunately it appears the legacy of this defensive is that they are good-not great. They are not a big play defense (like Baltimore-Chicago-Carolina). They usually can't make up for the definsency of the offense. They have a problem stopping teams on third down, have a tendency to commit untimely PI penalties, and allowing late scoring drives.
The offense is young and has yet to establish an identity for anything positive. RB shows promise but has yet to deliver as a 2nd overall pick making $24 million. We gambled on DCP and if he's the answer it's too late for this season.
I'd like to see what we have in Jason Allen. If he can't crack this starting line up then it was a wasted pick. Other rookies are starting all over the league...
We've been plagued by mediocre seasons in the past, poor personelle decisions, and bad luck affecting our draft. The Vikings 2nd rounder is looking better for them weekly.
I don't think playing the Dolphins scares anyone in the NFL. The team has a reputation for playing just good enough to lose (the important games). I was hoping Saban was changing that dynamic but it's seems much further away than I'd hoped.

You mean the Vikings 6'7" C Ryan Cook is getting play-time?

Actually, it is a rebuilding year, we just got caught up in the hype. The o-line has a new LT, C, and RG. The secondary has all kinds of new personnel. There's a new Offensive and Defensive Coordinator. And two new QBs.

That's an awful lot of change in one year.

The saddest part of this season is that we're suffering with a crappy oline and two mediocre QB's while Drew Brees is off to a great start in New Orleans!!! I wish him the best, I just wish he were here....along with a Left Tackle!

New Orleans beat...

Cleveland (1-4)
Green Bay (1-4)
Tampa Bay (0-4)

Granted, the Fins might not have won those games, but that ain't exactly impressive.

And they beat Atlanta in an emotional home opener. They lost at Carolina.

Drew Brees and N.O. are about to lose to...

Philadelphia (4-1)
Baltimore (4-0)
at Pittsburgh (1-3)
Cincinnati (3-1)

And they could very well lose at Tampa Bay, and at Atlanta.

In the next month or two, New Orleans is going to go from a winning team (4-1) to possibly a losing team (4-7). At best, I would put them at 6-5.

So please post again after Week 12, and let me know if you still want Drew Brees then.

Wait, our we comparing Drew Brees to the rest of the league? Because then I agree, NO is oveerated and will likely lose a few games in the upcoming weeks, or are we just talking about Brees vs. Daunte?

Yes, we may have a 'new' LT, C & RG this year ...

But GUESS WHAT ... NEXT YEAR we will have a new LT, C & RG ...

We talked before and during pre-season that HADNOTs short arms would preclude him from being a very good C ... I'm not sold he was ever a very good G ...

IF BERGER, TOLDEO and ALABI aren't ready come next year ... then next year will be very problematic as well ....

BUT WE NEED A C .... not named McKINNEY ...

Disagree, Saban is still rebuilding this team, hasn't had enough years or draft picks to undo the Wannspiel mess. Wannspiel left this team in total dissarray, and huge salary cap problems, will take Saban two more years to undo their mess.

I agree with you on this one. Remember when the Cowgirls went 1-15 in Jimmys first year then got draft picks and free agency players then they went to the super bowl. This team is the same way but the FO dont have a owner like the cowboys have. This team was on its way to the dumps like the Saint and Bucs have been in the past but it is up to Saban to get this team right. Saban cant do this in one year it will take time.

Fair enough.

But I don't think you can compare Brees to Daunte yet. So far, up to this point, I agree with you that it looks like Brees would have been a better way to go.

But it's kind of like a draft pick. You won't really have the proper perspective until three, four, or five years from now.
