I was at the bar watching the Lions and Dolphins games with my buddy (a Fins fan). I noticed a lot of you are blaming Harrington for the two picks. The first one was definitely his fault and a forced pass.
However, the second INT, while thrown behind the receiver (and tipped up for an INT by Welker), was the only play. If any of you were watching the game, you noticed that CBS showed a replay after the INT with the camera perspective above and behind Harrington. If he throws the ball anywhere but behind Welker, you'd see that it would have been tipped or picked. It was the only throw he could make. He was hoping Welker would make a nice catch and instead the worst possible outcome happened. So really, you can't fault Harrington for that one.
On to the arguments over who should start. My Fins fan buddy said he felt a lot more comfortable with harrington at QB...the outcome just didn't work out with his first start being after a half week of practice against a top 5 NFL team on the road.
Hey...at least you aren't the Lions.
