Ok before I rant let me just say this.....
I LOVE MY FINS!!!!

Pennington is still doing great!!!

Porter, Crowder and Roth kick ***.....Porter will goto the Probowl.

Camarillo, Fasano, Ricky and Ronnie are awesome.

The play calling was not as stellar as past games....itcould have been worse.

It was a great surprise to see Cobb run that fast (another weapon)

We are not the team of 07...this team can and will fight till the end.

Now to the piont of my thread...........

THE SECONDARY CANT COVER A S%$#!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOLY CRAP!!!!!THEY CANT STOP F'n LONG BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Houston was not an easy win despite what everyone was saying. They have had a tough schedule so far. These next weeks are not gonna be nice......Ravens, Bills and Denver are going to study film. If they look at our games against the Jets, Cards even the game against the Chargers...they will see the common theme is we cannot stop the long ball.

Now I know we need a playmaker at reciever but I truly think we could get wins with who we have. But not if they are getting 40+ yrds on every drive.

Now my question is should we go with what we have...or pick up someone by 14 OCT? We still have other needs....Im not to fond of giving up picks. But then again I'm not fond of losing a game by one piont with less that 2 mins on the clock because we cant stop the long ball either.

I like to wait until teams draft players and cut others to make room. That is like the bargain bin clearance rack of the NFL season.

Thats a good piont. Being the devils advocate here....we could win more games if we went for a reciever or CB now. SHould we make a move?

I don't think that it was the secondary that gave you the herp..... It was more likely that nasty chick you picked up at the bar....

Unless, of course, the Fins have Ron Mexico in the secondary....

We should if it means we can still have a productive off season. If there is something we can do to improve NOW then that would be great, but not at the cost of our high round draft picks.

There was a chick there when I got drunk during the loss to Arizona.

I voted for pickup a WR and save draft picks for offseason.....specifically go after Roy Williams, if that cant get done before the trade deadline, then lets just go the rest of the way with what we have and save draft picks....other than Roy, there is no one else worth trading for.

Secondary

Our front seven played like tru warriorz out there. But we were just outclassed by Andre Johnson.
We played a solid hard fought game but, lets not make any excuses our DB's are putrid with the exception of Bell & Will Allen.
I know no one could stop Dre Johnson 2day. But there are no excuses for Goodman to drop that INT period. Then Reynaldo Hill had a similar chance but also dropped it.
2day was tragik, but i take solice in the fact that we are young and growing; and also that we fought until the very end.
I dont think any moves should be made before the trade deadline.
We should wait until the off season & keep all our picks and maybe pick up some more picks some how.

In free agency I go hard for Namdi Asamugha, if not him try to get Haynesworth 2 replace Ferguson after he's done.

Depending on what happens in free agency
I think we should definitely draft VONTAE DAVIS, GEORGE SELVIE, REY MAUALUGA, CRABTREE or HEYWARD-BEY.
But the DB's need to be addressed after this year.

Actually, if Parcells was able to pick up a CB 'and' a WR, we wouldn't need a productive offseason as we would have took care of those 2 needs we have now.

Depth is easy to fill with our 1st rounder and our 2nd day picks.

I'd really save the draft picks, i don't think paying for an over valued DB like Lito Sheppard (if we had to give up a 2nd rounder or something) would help this team make the playoffs. The same with the boat load we'd have to give up for Roy Williams from the WR stand point. I think this is a 6-7 win team that is going to have some more tough losses this season, hopefully they realize that they aren't TOO far away from the playoffs if they can revamp the secondary get a number 1 Wideout and maybe tweak up a few more positions. You probably can't do that through trades at this years deadline.

So we can pick up more Andre Goodman, Chris Crocker and Renaldo Hills?

Surely we'll be picking up at least two secondary players in the draft. Maybe with the two second rounders, depending how high the first is.
