Ok, you've seen a taste of what our team is capable of (good or bad) in the preseason. Our final 53 is just about set...with maybe a tweak or two yet to come. With Miami football now less than a week ago, what are your record predictions for the 2015 Miami Dolphins?

Me? I'm picking 11-5 because the Natural Disasters Suh and Wake & the rest of the DLine will run rampant on opposing offenses and will make life just a bit easier for everyone behind them. On offense I believe Tannehill takes a significant step forward with all those weapons at his disposal, a solid running game, and what we're ALL hoping for is an improved 'n relatively healthy offensive line.

Ok your turn: vote on the poll (yes, it's public), post your thoughts here, or just be lame and not participate. Hah, kidding...or am I?

I say 14 and 5.

11 and 5 wins the division plus two playoff game wins and the SB

Visualize your objective and make it so

I'll stick with 9 wins. I don't like to change my mind. That's where I was immediately after last season, as I mentioned here. All the blowout wins from last season and the very good defensive numbers during the first half of the season lend toward an improved forecast. The past two years I correctly pegged 8-8.

Suh allows greater opportunity, along with that first half schedule. I can understand projecting over this time. It didn't make sense in recent years without a truly great player on the roster.

Every time I look at that schedule I can't imagine that anybody was knocking it upon release. You almost couldn't ask for a more favorable slate. Not only the weak teams and quarterbacks to open the season, but so many foes that are in awful situational spots when we face them. Nemesis Baltimore is on a short week after playing on the road within the division on Monday night, and then on the road here 6 days later. Unbelievable. The NFL only does that to a couple of teams every season. It's like a situational handout.

Does anyone realize the value of opening the season by stealing two road wins? The opportunity is right there. Washington often loses by margins, and Blake Bortles might not belong in this league, at least not as starter. Even the order is preferable. If we defeat Washington and have a normal hangover on the road a week later, it's still relatively easy to outscore Blake Bortles, given his current level. It would be more problematic in reverse.

Who cares about 2013? Exceptions mean nothing. All they do is please the fear crowd, and give the exception hunters something to do, something to fret. Give me two cheap road wins early every season and I'll take my chances. The math works.

I'm an under bettor by trade and by training. That's why I can't get carried away. So many variables work in favor of an under, no matter what it looks like in advance. Over bets are scary unless the number is simply a poor one, like that 6.5 a couple of years ago.

6-0 start.....12-4 Division title.....Miami over Indy AFC Champions....Miami over Dallas Super bowl 50!

There...I said it.

Best Dolphin squad on paper since Shula.

I just went through the fixture list and got 9-7

The last 10 games are brutal! You get through that in good shame and you should be ready for a deep playoff push

We lose at home to Buffalo and in London to the Jets . . . that is going to be an AWFUL bye week on Finheaven.

Been saying it for a while . . . . 5-1 start with a 5-5 finish seems appropriate for this schedule.

If we stay healthy, if Ryan takes the next step and coaching is "better" this year . . . this 10-6 really should be the floor.

Cautiously Optimistic . . . . but this is the Dolphins so who knows.

Agreed but if I've learned anything over the past three years, it's that Philbin is not Shula. 8-8, maybe 9-7 of our O-line holds up. Sorry guys, I hope I have to eat that prediction. I'm just too old and tired to get my hopes up.

Not only that but we may not have to play a cold weather game this season, and our toughest game on the schedule, the road New England game is our short week game. We're probably going to lose that game anyway so its great to get the short week out of the way there. It also seems to me the short week increases variance, which could help us pull off the upset in our toughest game of the season.

This is the Year we beat the Frigging Texans as well as take the AFC East from the cheaters. Do well in the playoffs and do more than show up in the Big game.
