I am excited guys like Jimmy Graham, Terrance Cody, Taylor Mays, Ben Tate, and Shay Hodge are on this team. They are not only guys we could be seriously considering, but they are guys with big question marks that we will have first hand experience trying to answer. I forgot to mention Daryl Sharpton in my original post. The ILB out of Miami finished the season very strong and has very strong cover skills. He would not be a bad choice in the 4th-5th round. When looking at ILB I think they are a lot like scouting QBs. People get lost in size and speed(arm strength for QBs) but tend to forget if the prospect put up the stats in the college. Sharpton has measuables very similar to Zach Thomas, but recorded over 100 tackles at the U, and showed he can drop in to coverage.

It's a great chance to get a closer look at this talent. I KNOW we won't waste this opportunity. Reel em in Tuna, reel em in. :)

I have been following some of the local guys on Twitter at the Senior Bowl practices. Pick up some nice tidbits of info.

We already have 3 SS. Why add another?

Mays may end up at MLB, and if so he would be a great addition. He isn't a great at coverage as a S, but at MLB he would be the best cover LB on our team, and probably the fastest. All that being said he scares me. On paper he is great, but has never lived up to his abilities. I do not like guys who have great 40 times and size, but lack the numbers. He did have a lot of tackles at USC, so he may not be as big of a risk at MLB. If he fell to us in the 2nd he would be very hard to pass on though.

We lack size at WR and TE, so it would be nice to add a 6'8'' TE who can go up and grab TDs.

I wonder what round Anthony Dixon will go in. Talk about a durable back with some explosion. My wife's family are big MSU fans, so I've seen him play alot. I would take him if he's there for our 3rd round pick.

I am excited to see how the coaching staff evalutes guys like Brandon Lang DE/OLB Troy and other DE/OLB tweeners. I am not saying that we should draft them, but it will be a good opportunity for the front office to see first hand how they play, practice, and take instruction on improving technique, etc. That will allow them to get a feel of whether or not they can transition to OLB in the NFL.

There are alot of big prospects on that list but there is one that i love the fact we get a good close look at and that is ANTHONY DIXON..RB MISS ST...i have a good feeliing we might be into this big bruiser of a back....we need to take something from the playoff teams this year, vikings got taylor to back AP, Shonn greene jets, pierre thomas saints, donald brown colts, those young fresh legs help when everyone else is tired...watch tapes on Dixon and i know you would want him in our colors.

he wont be a ILB if anything he would be a OLB if he is going to change to MLB he is going to need to gain some weight
