Not bad. We went blow for blow with the team favored to represent the NFC in the 2006 Super Bowl. The first team defense has given up 9 points this preseason, that's pretty decent. With the exception of some bad special teams plays we dominated the Panthers first teamers. Are run blocking was suspect tonight, I know we will get a "the sky is falling" type attitude about the O-LINE, but the pass blocking was superb. The sky is not falling, only to the folks who don't realize the guys on the other side of the line of scrimmage are professionals and TEAMS WILL MAKE plays against us. Not to mention, no RB is going to have a 100 yard game every week, it's impossible. Overall the defense looks good, even the secondary, and the offense looks like it's going to be improved. I expect Pittsburgh will get a run for there money in 2 weeks. GO FINS.

I call the phrase "Chicken Little'd", just for future reference.

If anyone doesn't know what Chicken Little is....wow.

dude our 1st team Defense has yet to allow a TD. All three playoff teams a year ago

Well, first off, the pass blocking was not "superb," it was adequate. I think the praise needs to go to Mularkey and Co. for adjusting and scheming away from the strengths of the Panther defense. Quick throws and screens were the name of the game early and it seemed to work.

The pass blocking was ok but Harrington and Culpepper did a good job of avoiding the rush on a few plays and creating something out of nothing. Again, more to their credit than the o-line's.

Good points, there were some quick throws early. But Pep only had to avoid a rush a couple of times. I thought the pass blocking was much better than the run blocking, where Ronnie really had no where to run.

the defense can be great but if the offense cant get going we are going to lose

You must be talking about our running game because our passing game is doing great.

Remember that we are facing the best defensive team on the run in the league.

We will be fine.

Pretty positive night overall. We need to work on Special teams and O-line run blocking. We went toe to toe with their first string and really got the best of them other than special teams.

Well, many people have the Panthers representing the NFC in the SB. Their O-line didn't look so hot against our defense. I don't think they even had a first down until the end of the 2nd quarter.
Wonder what their fans are saying.
