The Phins will go nowhere, unless they find a franchise qb. It is simple. Look at all the playoff teams. Some have bad defenses, average WR's and injuries. It doesn't matter, because the franchise QB makes up for that. We knew that from 1984-1999. Someone has to be hired to quantify and qualify if Tannehill is that person, and if he needs to be surrounded with someone that will make him leap like Cam Newton did in year 3. If not, then don't waste anymore money on Personnel until the QB position is decided. I will end this post with a perfect example. Manning's LT is an unrestricted FA. When Clady held out, this guy played and then either was benched or played another position. When Clady got hurt, he stepped in. Is this guy the greatest find in the NFL or is Peyton that good? I think we know the answer. Elite QB's do not throw 3 INT's in the "playoffs," and the staff that coach him don't draw up plays that put him in a position to. You cannot win 12-13 games needed to be elite and earn a bye w/o a franchise qb. Ask Seattle, Carolina, NE and Denver.

LOL all you Tannehill zombies are a joke. He had great protection yesterday, and a pretty descent running game. Real winning QBs don't need excuses, they make the guys around them better. They have passion, drive, and a killer mentality. Not "OMG I better slide before I get hit, who cares if we eed this first down"

I can't judge Ryan until he gets new leadership. A new freakin qb coach who is not 20 years old., A new OC who plays to Ryan's talents. How can you condemn him before he gets some real coaching and playcalling in here?
A new HC who exhibits some emotion and fire. I would keep everyone (almost) and wait til new coaching comes in.

The entire team choked yesterday. Every single facet of our team was a complete and utter disgrace over the last two weeks. That comes down to coaching.
Everyone has been saying all year the Phins makes to many school boy errors on both sides of the ball and are easily the most predictable team in the NFL. Against the Jets there was no change from the mentality, approach, game plan and execution that saw the Dolphins get crushed in Buffalo. Miami is a good team if everything falls into place but when we're off even slightly off we look like complete amateurs. Its why this Miami team can beat Indy, Cincy, SD, NE and yet lose to the Bucs, Bills twice and the same Jets we had destroyed just weeks earlier.
People can moan endlessly with regards to requiring an elite QB in order to win in his league but facts are to consistently excel in the NFL you need a well rounded, well coached, mentally tough team. From special team, to receivers that don't have hands of stone, to a defense that actually creates turn overs..basically need quality across the board. Frankly hard to know what to make of this Miami with such mediocre coaching. IMO with a coach Jim/John Harabaugh this Phins team easily ends the season 10-6 maybe even 11-5. No doubt talent is the name of the game in the NFL but more often than not quality of coaching is then key to building the foundation of a consistently successful team ala Miami for nearly 30 years under that guy named Don Shula.

Drew Brees wasn't too good his first 2 years in the league. Ryan has made huge strides his is 2nd years. It is true he needs to make some more improvements but he is a very hard worker and is getting better week to week. Ryan will be fine, the coaching staff on the other hand ....
