I was so hoping we would get one of the top 5 free agent guards and maybe draft one in the middle rounds but that's not what they did. The "rumor" is we're drafting Coklin from michigan st at 13 and he'll play guard and then replace Alberts when he's done. I don't like drafting guards high but he's a potential LT who can play guard for a year or two. I still believe we will get a guard in free agency. Probably Vazquez but we're drafting oline high regarless

Lmao if they draft OL again in the first rd, that would be 4 in 8 drafts, and still crap.

I mentioned him earlier this week and Hooshoops made some really solid comments about his fit in our offense and lack of lateral movement and feet, but praised his toughness, strength, punch and demeanor. A lot of his scouting reports read as though he has limited potential as a move-guy? I'm not an expert but i get the feeling from everything i read that he's not a fit to play guard and possibly not even LT but more so RT? Maybe someone could weigh in on that??

Did not want offensive line at 8 . . . But at 13, I feel like if the right guy is there, I am much more open to it.

Coklin is interesting, seems to have moved up draft boards due to his solid pre draft showings so far. Really showed people he has the movement to play LT, which would certainly warrant a top 15 selection.

25 reps don't excite me about his prospects at guard. . . Will want him in that same weight room as Turner and Thomas after being drafted but clearly he is your day one starter at LG if we draft him. Shouldn't be much of an issue in Gase's scheme.

This team has no linebackers or CB's and they are going to draft a guard in Rd 1. I don't see that happening.

Yeahhh I too would rather go CB or DE in the first, then get the best guard that's available on the 2nd Rnd.

Two of the three guards that will be on the final roster could already be on the roster with Turner and Douglas. Just need to find the other starter. It looks like the plan at linebacker is Jenkins, Alonzo and Misi. I can't see them making the trade or restructuring Misi if the plan wan't to keep them as starters. They have three cb's that should be on the opening day roster McCain, Maxwell and Lippet... possible four if they keep Taylor for depth. I figure they will sign one more corner and draft another.

Never draft for need. Draft BPA. There is no player on this team that we cannot replace with a 1st round pick

We still need linebackers and corners. If we stay at 13, I see the Dolphins selecting one of the top corners that is left. There are 4 right now I see in play. In no order of preference: Hargreaves, Apple, Alexander, and Jackson III.

I also believe yo should not draft for need in Round 1(unless need happens to match up with value).

I will only go so far as saying this team has to draft a defensive player in Round 1.They badly need young impact talent on defense whether it is a Db, a LB or a DL.

CB looks to be a case of need and value matching pretty well at #13, but one of the Bama DL's could make sense too.

I do not see a LB who I would be happy with at #13(not in love with Ragland or Lee).

Taking Conklin as an OG who eventually transitions to LT would only make sense if you are POSITIVE Conklin can be a well above average LT in a year or two.Otherwise you are drafting a Guard in the top half of round 1 and unless he is John Hannah that isn't smart.

I agree. Need has to be given 0 consideration in rd 1. That is why Derrick Henry, a beast, 6-3 250 gazelle, has to be the choice!

If so, this is what we deserve for trading out of the #8 spot. Asinine.
