The Speilman/Wanny Legacy Presses On!

I watched Reggie Brown for 4 years at Georgia and he did nothing to impress me.. He wasn't even the goto guy on the team that was Fred Gibson and he went at the end of the 4th.. GreenMonster

Did you read my mind before you made this post?

Once again its time to beat a dead horse! Its over (Wan/RS) Its in the past , let it go. Is AJ the QB we need , tune in at the end of the year and I,ll tell you. Other teams picks only come in to play when they are FA or we trade for them. With the luck the Eagles have with WRs GOD only knows what will become of this kid (brown).

Now, this is where is gets ugly.. Im giving Nick a pass, since he is a rookie... but this may end up being more of the Wanny era lingering on... If Nicks 06 draft is anything like this draft (unprepared), then this is a lingering on of wannys failure. But, it will more over point to Heizengas total ineptness.

WOW! This is way out of line.
This was a great draft. We essentially got three first round picks...both Roth and Channing had first round grades. That's value! Also, how is going with what you know being unprepared? That's just absurd!

Dude, put the crack down and step away from the pipe :shakeno:

Feeley needs to be given a chance under a coach who actually understands an offense. Let's give him a chance under new leadership. Wanny ruined this kid before he even had a chance. 2004 is over. Let's bring on 2005. Let's see how Feeley plays when he actually has a running game. Can't wait till training camp.:D

YES...IT is in the past..But, DO ANY OF YOU STILL THINK SPIELMAN SHOULD HAVE A JOB EVEN SCRUBBING THE DOLPHINS' STADIUM FLOOR?? That is the question.

Sure, he is still a good talent scout, and has a good eye for talent, his biggest problem is how he get the talent he likes, and considering that is one power he no longer has (All up to Saban), he can still be valuable to the Dolphins, but there again....that is up to Saban

Yes. I think he's a lot better than people are giving him credit for. Everyone wants his head on a platter but I think he'll be alright.

Actually...

Outside of Smith and Rodgers I do not believe that there was a QB really worth risking a pick on. I do think we need a major upgrade but I'm willing to let A.J. have one more year. I am thoroughly convinced however that if the 9ers would have picked Rodgers or Edwards, Smith would be wearing aqua and orange today.

I hope that is rhetorical. BROWN!!!!

Why Brown, have you seen him play in the NFL yet?

Have you seen Feeley play with an actual running game behind him, and at least some blocking in front of him?

Let us wait to see how Feeley looks with a better team around him, to knock him.

I am dead serious. He had no direction in his draft approach. He was all over the place, had no purpose. his purpose wasnt drafting the BAP's either. he showed that late in the draft. He stuck to what he knew, plain and simple. That is unpreparedness.

and you think you could have done better...NOOOT

Even though I thought Nick should have traded down it still wasnt a bad draft..

unprepared? Are you serious?

We got arguably the best RB in the draft (At the very least, the most complete), a monster of a DE, who is very tough and comes with an attitude on game day, the best I-linebacker and maybe just the best Linebacker overall in the draft, a large, smart corner that at worse could be solid for us, an O-linemen that already looks the part physically, and was hand picked by one of the best O-line teachers in Football, and a very big and athletic DT, that many think could be very good with some time to learn.

If this is what is considered unprepared, then please tell me when he will be, because I do not think My heart can take it from all the celebrating.

Why are his picks the clear indication the Wanny days are over?

Because Wanny would have taken one of the two corners, considering we lost Surtain, or traded down for far less then what the true value of the #2 was. Wanny would have then traded up to get a RB in the 2nd that would not have been worth the 2nd, because he has to go on his gut feeling. he would have gotten more special teams players in the 4th, 5th, and 6th, who one day might contribute.
