I purchased the NFL Game Rewind, and have watched about 10 of the games over again. I was surprised just how much we used the spread, with empty backfield, or Ronnie or Ricky lined up in the slot. We would motion Ronnie or Ricky for sweeps and handoffs, Ted Ginn had 2 big reverse TD's (though the fumble in the playoff game was a KILLER) We will be very very good on offense, IMO. We will get the ball in the hands of our playmakers. and when you factor in 3 RB's like Ronnie, Ricky, and Cobbs, all who are dangerous, combine that with Polite, who was 11 of 12 on 1 yard to go situations, our backfield is formidable. Then you have Ginn, Bess, and Camarillo, all who play their role to a T. out of Turner, Hartline, and London, you need 1 of them to step up. Then the TE's, Fasano and Martin performed very well, and this Nalbone kid is supposed to be pretty good. Add in Pat White, and how he plays into it, and Pennington's ability to always pick the right spot to go with the ball, our offense is going to be very tough to defend. And don't underestimate what Turner brings in the Redzone either. We are going to continue to use this spread to slow down defenses, and keep them guessing. The key is to get the defense thinking, not reacting. And we are going to be very tough to figure out.
