I imagine some players must be very difficult to motivate after winning the Superbowl. Some of them must have a bit of a "What do we do now?" complacent attitude about it. I would think some of them get a little over confident too.
How do teams which have won the Superbowl and then had a pretty bad season normally done the season after that? Does the bad season give them the kick in the jacksee they need to get their act together the following year?
Unless their defence can play the way it did last season, it looks like the Steelers may have a torrid time of it. As mentioned, they simply aren't running the ball even close to effectively and that's not helping them one bit. The apparent improvement of the Ravens (although not defensively) and, to a lesser degree, even the Bengals isn't helping them much either. It'll be interesting to see whether Pittsburgh can claim their division this year. Current form suggests not but it's less than a fifth of the way into the season.
