The Success Of The Dolphins Does Not Depend Solely On Tua's Health!

seriously you are fooling nobody. his post was incredibly nasty in tone, and wrongfooted, and you responded by piling on and saying "This is spot on and shining moment in this thread. Well done." happy easter and have a blessed weekend too
Just reread it and didn’t see anything nasty.
I just think Tua beats titans and colts and we make playoffs but lose in first round. Which is not good enough. But the team sucked. We had Benito jones Liam and Robert jones starting. But we coulda been a 7 seed. This year ? We are resetting. We won’t even win 9 games probably.

Man, we’re a negative lot on this forum. Probably deservedly so. I’m just numb. I went through my angry phase in the early 2000’s when I saw Wannstedt slowly destroy our franchise. I demanded change…and every change they made seemed to just make our franchise worse. I’m not saying not to change…just that I’m numb to the expectations that come with it. Glad some of you still carry that fire in your belly.

No huddle is just one of two things shown not the whole thing, bottom line is just epa.

Nobody is claiming it’s the end all be all however when we take a look at the bigger picture and combine it with the fact that the offense with a bottom 5 oline and awful run game was top 10 in every major category then compare it that without him we looked like the 1-15 2007 dolphins. We can even take a step back further and add additional context such as him being the comp% leader or leading the league in yard or qb rating or even his 38-14 record as a starter while his previous coach Flores was 8-16 without him while McDaniel is 3-8 without Tua. We can then take all the above as well as additional thing so didn’t list and make a better well rounded opinion rather than going off one chart. This is called using reason and rational, try it bud.
I bought something for you, I just need your address and I'll send it your way!

Assume you meant Robert Jones?

you didnt see anything nasty, like him calling me a liar. whatever.

That's enough with the personal attacks guys.

And, no, "whataboutism" doesn't fly as a defense.

If one feels they have been attacked, the course is to report the post, not reply in kind.

you don't even understand the chart you posted. look at the title of the chart, it is EPA in no huddle. looking at the y axis, tua was in no huddle about 8pct of the time. my god. anyway i am glad you think sam darnold is better than tua, and pat mahomes is below average. if you weren't spending so much time being confirmation biased, you might understand the charts you post. and you ought not call people liars because your confirmation biased mind disagrees with them. goodnight.

they lost to the titans the prior year with healthy tua, and that was a big part of the disastrous finish. the whole thing w healthy tua really seems like a way to set an artificial baseline for last year that really didn't exist. they weren't that good with tua is the big point. their record against garbage opposition tells you that. this is a team comment not a tua comment
Yeah, they got steamrolled by the Titans. I don't think Tua starting that game would have changed the outcome. Has Tua ever beaten the Titans as a starter. I believe the team is 0-2 vs that team with Tua starting.

yeah they just seem distinctly kind of average when he is in there, and not so good when he is not in there. yet somehow, zach wilson is meant to be the answer to that problem. i guess we shall see, i am actually kind of curious at this point if wilson needs to play, how it will look. such a different skill set too, it seems he will need an entirely different offense, which also makes his signing a bit curious to me

Yeah Wilson seems like a bust or boom signing. He has all of the physical tools just has never been able to put things together mentally in the NFL. Definitely will be interesting to see if/how McDaniel adjusts the offense if/when Wilson has to play.

"to be clear, my point is about the offense in total with Tua in the game, not about Tua himself
people "trying to convince themselves that this was a really good football team "

Now I'm confused. I agreed with your point the entire team could have been better. I noted, by example, Miami could have won more games with an above average OL - a better team - just as you stated. Your response was . . .
"the team was 6-5 was tua. are you claiming they were better than their record?" Not close. My "OL" comment was, again, an example of your point Miami needs better talent apart from TT.
"the logical extension of your argument is with tom brady and bill belichick and lawrence taylor they would have won the super bowl." Maybe not the SB, but, yeah, with better overall talent (your point) Miami would have won more games. where do we disagree?
the point i was trying to make is that the team is what it is. of course we want those other things, but we do not have them
