We've heard all week how the oline is having problems "buying in" to the system. Also certain defensive players are having trouble adjusting to the new defense.

I have no doubt that when we get on the same page this team will be exciting.. But is the system too difficult for players to learn in such a short time, and perhaps will it be 1/3 into the season before we start seeing real results?

Am I the only one who has noticed signifigant progression throughout the preseason alone? I think we will really raise some (preseason) eyebrows against TB

very hard to gauge progress now. were not seeing anything but glorified practices. we have no idea how much of a lift sabans and linehans gameplans will give there respective units once the regular season starts. there def are players making progress though, see daniels crowder welker carey etc. i havent lost the least bit of faith that we will contend for a wildcard spot this season with a little bit of luck..."contend"

I agree. The first game we will, paritualy(sp?), gameplan for. I seen lots of improvement and I expect more to come against TB.

I'm hoping for the best, but I continue to say that by game8 or 9, they should be playing some exciting football.

Lets see how we play in "real" games

Yea, but if by the 3rd quarter this Saturday night we're getting wooped on....Oh boy. It's looking BAAAAAAD!

Do you think by starting to have closed practices may improve the team to details as well without being distracted by media fans etc...
maybe we'll see things that we've been waiting for!

Possibly, but this wasn't supposed to be a one year plan.

The alternative is an unimagitive system like Wannstedt ran.

You're not the only one. Some areas of concern have shown improvement from week to week. Consistency is the key if the improvements are to be worth a damn. I'm looking forward to the TB game to see if we improve:
1) Blocking along the OL (including the TE position).
2) Holding on to the ball. :fire:
3) QB accuracy (specifically short passes from Frerotte and long passes from Feeley).
