David Martin isn't a bad football player but he isn't good either.

Justin Peele is a good receiving TE and can get yards after the catch but he is a lousy blocker even when he remembers his assignments; and on ST's he just makes me want to go in a corner and cry.

Listen, little freddie davis is OVERRATED!

The Dolphins need a couple of real football players who can do the job and then some.

They are out there and they aren't that expensive either.

Brad Cottam didn't play much last year because of a wrist injury. He is 6'8"
275 lbs. and runs a 4.7 and has run a 4.6. Not only that, some sights are declaring him the best blocking TE in this years class.

He was projected 5th or 6th but has recently moved up to a 3rd or 4th round prospect.

Oh, and by the way, Davis runs a similar 40 and is about 20 lbs. lighter.

Now the real steal is Kolo Kapunui. TE/H-back/FB

A bonafide playmaker.http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=73790

Why waste a 1st or 2nd on a big slow WR like Davis??? He isn't even tall.
I'd rather have Cottam as my red zone threat.

Don't fool yourself, David Martin is a terrible football player.

As for the TE search, it begins and ends with Fred Davis IMO. The widely athletic Davis is a mis-match against anyone that he will go up against as a tight end. His speed, strength and athleticism make him an elite pass catching tight end. If you have questions about his blocking, plug in some old USC film. There's a reason his stats were down in his early years at USC and it's because he was in blocking for Bush and White.

Parcells is thought to really like TE Anthony Fasano of the Cowboys. Maybe he'll make a run at bringing him in?

he should have brought romo... apart from that, as far as i'm concerned, dallas can keep their roster... i'd rather have the top te prospect signed by the fins - they have been weak at this position (which is in my opinion elementary to any good football team besides this year's patriots), and that should change RIGHT NOW!

Kellen Davis from Michigan State is a fine prospect..... but through the NFL playoffs.... a tall guy like Paxico Burress despite being a wide reciever, has really increased his value...using his height and also making some nice catches!
Bottom line...we need some skilled football players who are tough. Martin has dissappointed everyone....thanks again Cam

We need to draft a TE, preferably Fred Davis at #32. If he's not available then hopefully we can get Martellus Bennett or Martin Rucker at #59 or #64.

Too bad we didn't select a guy like Donald Lee with the 21st pick in the 5th round of the 2003 draft. Oh wait, we did...!?!

Cottam is too injury prone, he's already had 5 surgeries. My vote would go to Davis, but at this point I'd settle for anyone who can block or catch, because ours cant do much of either lol

David Martin really makes you appreciate Randy Mcmichael.
Some people act like he is fast and he cannot even average 9 yards a catch and is an awful blocker, much worse than Randy.

Dont fool yourself on this one. Living in Packer country I have watched alot of Donald Lee. Who was terrible when he was a Dolphin. He dropped balls looked slow and couldnt even out run a linebacker. Yes, his skills have improved. But their is one simple reason he is better as a Packer than as a Dolphin. Why? A few words HOF QB Brett Favre.

I still like M. Rucker from MO, who had an outstanding Sr. Bowl. He can catch, and apparently greatly improved his blocking, per reports from the Sr. Bowl. He would be a great option, 6'6/255 and 4.7-40.
