first i'll say i think gus gives us the best chance to win, and i'm not in any way putting this loss on him. but, what i've noticed through the first 2 games is that gus has a tendancy to want to hold on to the football waiting for the wr he is staring down to get open. i'm not sure we have the o line or gus has the accuracy to make that work all year...
the running game...
ronnie just isn't ready. i don't think there is any doubt he has long term potential, but right now the speed of the game is too fast for him. to ronnie's defense, our run blocking has been pretty shabby. however, if we can go 2-2 and get ricky back there isn't a doubt in my mind our team can fight for a playoff spot with a 9-7 /10-6 record.
the defense....
has anybody seen our pass rush? we might as well drop 11 into coverage on 3rd and long. other than that, a pretty solid effort spoiled by an ineffective offense.
