we just didn't want him bad enough.

The lackadaisical approach to QB hunting this regime has had for the last 3 or so years has been amazing and continues.

At least for the most part you could say they thought Henne was the real deal. But now, they are either second guessing themselves and are trying to convince themselves that Moore wouldn't be so bad or they will look at the draft and when the time comes they may or most likely WILL NOT draft a QB. (if you think they will draft one this year, then you problably thought they were going to draft one last year....remember?) All I am saying is dont be shocked when they get a D lineman with a QB you thought would be great to get is there for the taking and they pass.

Its like groundhog day. Last year they promised big things (Ross), promised a competition at QB, said they'd bring someone in and in the end they did but it felt like a last minute rush WTH decision that they took a flyer on since they knew him from Dallas and it worked out some (Moore - I don't remember people breaking doors down to sign him at the time - do any of you?).

In the end, I would not be surprised with absolutely NOTHING happening and we go with Moore as the starter and maybe a few undrafted rookies + Devlin.

Then again, maybe they go ahead and low ball Flynn and get him due to the low $$$ invested. I am fine with that if only to say that we didnt wait until the last minute to sign someone to compete with Moore.

If you want cheapies, you got to have the balls to wait. Some people are upset we overpaid for Marshall. Well, if you make an early signing you got to overpay. That's how the game works. You can't have it both ways.

If we get Flynn I'll be a very happy camper. Manning would have been very exciting, but imagine if we went all the way for Manning, releasing players and all, and he didn't have it anymore? I shudder to think so.
