The bills will give him a huge contract which he is not worth they will realize this and cut him to save cap space in the upcoming seasons. He will realize wow I fit perfectly with Miami I should have never left but I like the $$$ Buffalo threw at me. He then will resign with Miami. So we should get him back in 2 seasons. Just look at Michael Johnson from the Beangles. Clay is way overpaid now. He's not worth the contract the bills are giving him.

So your saying the Bills will cut him when his contract moves more in line with what you think he is worth. OK sorry won't happen

Good for him to get the money. He deserves it even though he's not worth it. He's worked hard. And IMO we won't want him back in year 3 of that contract.

HUGE difference Backloaded contract vs front loaded contract

Wow...a Charles Clay thread!

Well after they suffer through 2 years for almost 25 million, they may just keep him for the remainder of the contract because it's not as pricey years 3-5.

Unless they cut him after one season

Are you telling me if Clay gets hurt in his first 2 years and puts up average numbers at best that there is no way the Bills release him? Not that I want him back but he can easily be cut once the Bills see first hand that he is just an average TE who does get hurt a lot.

Keep it in one master Clay thread. I'm to the point I'm tired of talking about Clay. I like the player but he isn't worth that much money

Clay is good .... But Clay is over rated at 20 mil guaranteed

No more Clay, he is over pay by the bills and that's it!
. Let's move on.

Lets make this official and move on so BFIP can focus his time elsewhere.

The Bills appear to value Clay more than the Dolphins. Greg Roman wanted him real bad and he has all kinds of schemes and plans to use him. We'll see what happens.

Why didn't the bills go for Thomas.... 5yr/46mil/24 guaranteed....

Sounds like a much better bargain

Nice move Buffalo... I hope stealing Clay comes back to bite you, but I suppose congrats to Charles for cashing in. The first year will be tough watching him play for that crappy Buffalo
