"The Three Worst Contract in the NFL" - SUH

Hard to argue SUH being up there. He is getting QB money and he never even touches the ball.

I agree it was a bad contract, but coming from an snot nosed ignorant Patriots fan, does make it less powerful.

What if this year all of a sudden the Dolphins defense becomes a huge force, with Suh being the biggest reason?

I hate the contract, but judging it on just one year's work is very weak.

we are stuck with this contract. lesson learn is that no one on defense is worth it. we just have to be smart when we draft on defense for the next few seasons

Was never going to be a beneficial contract for us . . . But you live with it if Suh brings his lunch pail every year of the deal.

Yes, it is a tough contract to swallow, but one thing we are sure of....Suh does work his ass off, never comes into the season out of shape and plays hard. Also each year as more players sign these deal (OV being the most recent) the contract will begin to look less damning.

Fully agree. Our FO doesn't get the modern CBA and how to work things...

I knew this was going to be a garbage fan site opinion the minute I read the clickbait title. You pay for top talent and that's what we got. Further, it didn't impact the team's ability to sign other free agents like the naysayers swore it would.

The irony of people bitching about suhs contract and lamenting the loss of ov. Smdh

I was kinda hoping somebody would respond with "it impacted our ability to re-sign OV." No, the fact that, unlike Suh, he isn't worth near that contract impacted our ability (desire) to re-sign OV. If we had drafted Suh and re-signed him to that contract, people still complaining about it would have been cheering, because for some reason re-signing your own players, regardless of talent, is always better than signing actual talent. :idk:

Dolphin fans don't agree on much but in this instance I'm pretty sure we'd have 100% agreement on not paying Vernon anything close to what he got from the Giants.

One thing I can say is - Stats don't lie.

Pass defense and run defense got worst with Suh on board. Maybe coaching was an issue but I'm sure he got good coaching in Detroit with Jim Schwartz that he could take with him to Miami!!!

Yep, definitely Suh's fault. Fully his fault. **** that piece of ****.

Suh has the it factor very few players have and to get him as a free agent was a coup for this team at the time. If we were another type of team like a playoff contender I would have been against signing him. We have very little on the defensive side of the ball currently outside of him and Jones so he is worth the contract. Should have kept Shelby he was cheap insurance. IMO

On a board this size, it's never 100%, but they are certainly in the extreme minority. So, probably around 99.95%...
