The NFL has just passed the Tom Brady Rule, which requires that every quarterback now wear a bright pink dress. You can no longer lunge or dive at a QB's legs, you cannot hit a QB late as this is un-necessary roughing, you cannot hit a QB in the head with your arm, fist, or helmet.....if a QB is in the the grasp he is down right then and there.....oh and lets not forget the Brady Tuck rule after Tom was attempting to throw the ball, but the refs decided he really fumbled it, therefore screwing the Raiders out of a playoff win.

This is the NFL, it's not intramurals....it's not flag football....the NFL is getting watered down more and more every year....it's no only becoming the No Fun League but becoming the NCL (No Contact League). Look for there to be a rule passed within the next five years that the QB can no longer be touched, because the Patriot's owner is upset that his Tommy Boy was taken out for the whole season. :boohoo:

The NFL execs. seems to be a little too over-controlling, for lack of a better word. I hope the game does not get to the point where it becomes too contrived and over packaged. I wonder what the tipping point is going to be where the fans really start to get put off by all of these rules. I'm not there yet, but I do find myself getting more and more frustrated by a lot of the stuff that goes on during the games whether it be the horrendous officiating, absolutely stupid rules, or the never ending commercial breaks. (Is it me or does it seem like the commercial breaks are more frequent and longer ever year? Maybe it's just me.)

Being that the officiating is terrible anyway, giving the refs more things to call, and especially putting them in the very difficult position of making judgmental calls, I worry that we are going to have way too many games decided by the refs.

There are too many new rules, stoppages in play, way too many commercials. If you are at a game they have an official tv timeout and it seems like you are sitting there forever waiting for the game to start back up. I think they are overdoing things as far as what the players can and cannot wear (no do rags, no more stickum like Lester Hayes used to have all over him, no more end zone celebrations or "excessive" celebrations. Let them play and be themselves. I just hope they don't ruin the NFL like most other sports.

I hate the fact that one can cant celebrate when they score a touchdown, if the other team doesnt like it, then dont allow them to score!
