I am continually impressed by their ability to be open minded to any and everything. You have to understand that a lot of teams and owners would not have been able to mend the fence like they did with Jason Taylor. Here is a guy, regardless of last year, who has 120 sacks, tons of leadership ability, playing for 1.5 million. People made a big deal with the Trifecta bringing Ricky back, but honestly, for the little money that they would be paying Ricky, why would you not bring him back as well. Same thing with JT. Kicker from Montana, undrafted WR from Hawaii, if you can play, you will play. You can not be successful in this league without pressuring the QB. You've heard Coach say how many times you can't have enough pass rushers. These guys will put the best players on the field, regardless of anything. And they will find ways to, however creative, to accomplish this. Give it another year or two, with another solid draft, and smart spending in FA, and we will be a beast. We are a very young football team, one that has leadership from Pennington, Porter, and now JT again. We are going to be a big time factor for years to come, because of the Trifecta.

well I think that BP is one of the most knowledgeable people in the NFL. I trust anything he does here. so even if this is just a business move, I am still glad to see 99 back...

I think JT's popularity and ability to put ***** in seats probably factored into the decission on Ross's side of things but I am sure the staff was more concerened with getting fans by putting up W's

If JT comes in and does NOTHING, it only cost them 1.1 for one season. Now, if he plays where we have come to know him capable to play, and he shows the leadership aspect I fully expect him to show, you still get that for the same 1.1 mil. Very little risk involved, LOTS of reward potentially.

I dont think ross has anything to say on football personnel matters...the last time this happened to the tuna he bolted...

no way ross had anything to do with this. He may have been like yeah lets bring back jason if you think it's a good move Bill.. He'll bring in fans and add veteran leadership.

So Ross might have had that to offer.

Parcells knew he could get a bargain, and JT may be one of the best players for the money in the NFL today.. It also allows Jake Long to face crappier LB's that the Pats will be fielding next year..

Their Offense is scary, but their defense will allow 30+ points often.. Hopefully we can sack Brady enough to go 1-1 or 2-0 against the Pats... We still ogtta outscore Brady :/

Yup I agree that Ross had very little input if any on the matter. My point was in response to someone talking about JT be signed for his fan draw. I think Ross was supportive of the signing because of his fan draw, BP and Co resigned him because of his ability and pricetag. I did not mean to imply that Ross decided to sign him.

If WAKE and MOSES didn't show something quickly, they might have been left to their own devices; and who knows what would become of C ANDERSON? Now, C ANDERSON can continue to develop, and back up either OLB position (which he seems to have the ability to do), WAKE and MOSES have a little more time to develop into PORTER and JT's replacements, and ROTH is free to continue to set the edge. Re-acquiring JT might well be a great future-oriented move, as well as great "insurance" for the pass rush right now.

And given the fact that JT has excelled at both DE and OLB, and was moved around to confuse OLs in the past, MIAMI could end up w/ a scary pass rushing "D" on the sure-passing downs.

I raised my eyebrows when I read your first post. Didn't expect that coming from you. Thanks for clearing it up.

I was never a big fan of bringing JT back, but if BP & Co. want him back, I welcome him back with open arms. They trade him away for a year, save 7 million in cap space, pick up a 2nd (Pat White) and a 6th next year. I love having the Trifecta working for us and not against us.

well this JT signing just makes me realize that age wasnt a factor in trading him to the skins. it was what he was asking for.
