Well I'm sitting Watching the Super Bowl .

And I asks Myself How Good is the Fins DEF.

DO the Fins have a Great Def.line?
Are the Fins Lb good Cover lb are great Tackles?
Can the Fins DB shut down a Opp.passing Game?

The Fins have 1 great Player JT, who has about 5 more Great years in Him

Is this a a Super bowl Def. Line?

Miami Dolphins Lb are a tackles machine,but How good are these Guys in coverage?{Watching number 51 for Seattle now that a Lb with DB cover skills.}

DbWill we all know the Fin DB are not there Yet,
What change need to be made to improve The Def. back field?:xii: :missmeth:

Umm.... thats Kevin Carter and if you can't remember his name, I guess you answered your own question about the fins D.

I think he meant Kevin Carter, unless we picked up the Minnesota DT. Maybe he knows something we don't.
 
while the assessment of LBs and DB's isn't too bad (linebacking corps will improve) your Dline statement is WAY off and it kills your whole argument.
 
Kevin Carter isn't even really a DT. He's a DE that can play DT.
 
Taylor,Carter,Holliday,Roth,Bowens,Traylor,Wright,Vickerson,Zgonina,Romero.

yes, that's a damn good line with experience and upside

Hey let me just tell you a few things about the miami "D"....This is a great bunch of talent we have on the D and when these guys are on the same page they will DESTROY every oppents run game and pass game....Jason Taylor makes are db's even better by messen up the play timing to get the ball off by getting in the qb's face and forcing a bad pass....and Zach Thomas hes just an all around animal in on EVERY TAKLE and we also have a few young guns that can potentially and i think will rise up and be something speacial like Matt Roth, Channing Crowder, and Travis Daniels...and maybe during the offseasone we can aquire another good outside line backer maybe Lavar Arrington and another talented DB like maybe Ken Lucas but that would be a very long shot. But if our guys have a great offseason and can really click and be on the same page next season there gonna do some major damage and hopefully will be able and put some points on the board to help our offense out!!!!Lets take the CHAMPIONSHIP home to miami next year boys cause I BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's fine. I don't feel like assessing the whole thing, but instead will go over the areas I think that need to be addressed. On the DL, we either need to bring back Traylor or make sure we have an adequate replacement. That big stout body in the middle is one of the biggest keys to the 3-4 defense and it would be nice to have someone in addition to Manny Wright manning the spot. I believe in Wright and realize this Vickerson kid could be a good player but it would be nice to a veteran insurance policy. LB's are fine, we could use one guy for depth or Junior Seau as a backup or situational player. Seau, if he comes back, should not be a starter but I think he would make a great situational player. Secondary is where the biggest issues lie. Schulters and Jones would be adequate safties, but nothing flashy. It would be nice to upgrade at least one of those spots. Daniels is probably a lock at corner although we probably still really don't know how good he is. Madison has declined a bit, although not as much as some people think, but he's still solid and I think we should keep him, if the price is right. Howard stinks and like it or not Will Poole is a major question mark. If we do not keep Madison we will need at least 2 more solid corners, just in case Poole doesn't return to from. If we are weak back there Tom brady will pick us apart.

Our defense, unlike our old D, is based on a defensive scheme rather than personal skills. Sure, you've got to have talented players, no doubt, but our previous D relied solely on putting players heads up against the guy across the line and asking them to beat them man to man. Our new D focuses more on having good players work together to make the system work, and when done right, it will collectively shut down the offense. Need proof? Look at the Patsies. Year in and year out they plug in new players only to get the same results. Really, who ever would have thought that NE could win with guys named Assante Samuel or Randall Gay before these guys proved themselves effective.

and you forgot to mention Channing. He's gonna be a star for many years and proved they found a gem in the youth movement on d. our d shut down some of the most talented players this year. aka Tomlinson
