Our defense is ****ed... It really is! We have no LBs, relying on 2 rookie corners and practice squad safeties... All thats really left is our DL. Well at least that unit has the ability to take over games. One of the things that Im really excited about for this game is Wake. I mean the guys a ****ing beast and it took a damn miracle this season to give him an opportunity to play on this stage. Not that Wake needs any extra motivation to turn into a havoc machine, but between the lack of respect by the media and the fact that its going to be his first NFL playoffs game ever, I get the feeling we're about to witness a Cameron Wake we havent seen before... That combined with Suh who is just as much capable to impose his mark on any given game, gives me some sort of hope that we might be able to give fits to Big Ben and the Steelers offense... Not like Im predicting all this is going to happen, more that its our only ****ing shot to win this game IMHO...

I think Ajayi is the true key to this game. He carved up the Steelers last time and him doing well will keep the Steelers offense off the field. If Ajayi fails we are in for a Pittsburgh blowout

I'd like to see a couple of those D packages where they line up Suh at DE.

I'll be interested to see the intensity level these two bring on Sunday. I still think the key is Ajayi and the running game. Pittsburgh is going to score points regardless, we need to take control of the clock and avoid a shootout.

NO.

The Key is the CLEATS.

How many times have we seen our guys fall will the other team has sure footing. We need the right cleats!

I agree. Wake and Suh. The overall pass rush

I really beleive its the ONLY way they dont score on every drive they get... And there's just no way we score on everyone of ours... Simple as that... We need 3 sacks and a fumble for those 2 to have a chance IMO...

There's only so much either of them can do. They are the only ones in that front 7 (maybe Alonso can be argued), who have been pulling their weight. Everyone else is a meh to suck.

Who needs to step up is one of either Earl Mitchell, who has been a virtual non factor during his stint as a Dolphins, or lazy ass Jordan Phillips. We need a true disruptive 1 tech to help stuff the run, and make up for the lack of talent in the linebacker core. Neither of them have fit the bill.

We saw signs of Philips in last game... Need the full game version though...

I really like Phillips. He has elite potential, and I mean he can really dominate. Just needs work on consistancy. How long did big Paul take?

It wasn't until his 4th year when he dominated. Hopefully, Phillips comes into his own next year. It would be a huge benefit to our new rookie LB.

Great post! I agree the D-line is critical and the difference maker....good or bad.

Both team will run the ball effectively.

Is 4th season IIRC...

Defensive line has to play lights out or the lights are off for the season. All of 'em must go all or nothing b/c there's no help behind them.
