The Tua RPO.

Preface by I don’t know either but this my opinion.

Pre-snap Tua and Hill read where safety is and know where they want to sit route down at if zone.

Post-snap, outside defender picks up outside wheel route, confirming they’re in zone and safety is still back, and Hill now has a LB switch onto him with a deep safety. Easy completion.

If Pats stayed man, the LB has to run with the wheel route, Hill doesn’t sit down to keep safety inside numbers, then Tua checks safety then goes outside wheel with ball imo.

The flat element is if Hill doesn’t sit down, then he and outside wheel route clear area for the post coming across.

McD’s offense isn’t RPO. It’s layered. Each route has a space implication on each other at different points of the play. If you’re in man, certain spots will be open on play based on the motion. If you’re in zone, other spots will be open on play based on the motion.

while that is true when it comes to production and better stats, and that works both ways for them as well, which is the point, they would not be what they are with a lesser talented qb.

The narrative that Tua is only this qb were seeing because of great weapons and scheme is false, my point is the skillset of the qb is so high it is exploiting the scheme and the skillsets of the skill players.

which none of these media pundits are talking about.

I can agree

Tua has the best RPO mechanics in the history of the game. Been cleaning up on those concepts since 2020, or even earlier of course at Bama.
McD seems to like mesh right, throw right the most, and it's working great. I kinda liked the mesh right, throw left, a la Gailey in 2020, just because it's too hard for most QB's, but Uce does it easily.

He’s got a lot of traits where “he’s the best in the game” at this point
