I am very content of this pick because out of all defensive players, these were the top two in my list. I also had Antonio Cromartie but I know he wasn't going to be picked by miami due to the fact that he missed all year long. These two are the only players that I thought would improve our teams Regardless but I am very content.

If anyone has seen this guy play then they know that this guy is a difference maker!!!

Really? Your two top defensive players? How did you come up with that ranking?

yeah i agree. Maybe he means best DB's. AJ Hawk lower than Allen?. hmmmm.

im not sure why so many people wanted antonio cromatie he has only started 1 game at fsu and has many questions surrounding him....lets just say i think we should trust sabans pick more than our own personal preference

Because without the injury Allen is comparable to Huff.

Here's the analysis:

Vic Carucci's Analysis
Allen gives the Dolphins a solid cornerback with impressive coverage skills. Nick Saban needed to fill that hole in his defense. And he needs good, lock-down corners to play the aggressive scheme he wants to play.

Gil Brandt: I don't think this is a reach. People were concerned about his hip, but otherwise he's a top-10 pick. I think they got great value. Saban tried to recruit him out of high school when he was the coach at LSU.

Pat Kirwan: A very talented guy. When he ran well before the scouts, it became clear his hip was OK. One of the three safeties in this draft who can play corner. He's fast and versatile, he can handle all kinds of matchup problems.
