The value of getting luck is >>>>>>>>>>> than beating the jets...

You people need to get off the "Suck for Luck" bandwagon. It's not happening. I know you don't want to hear it but the Colts are getting that first pick. They only have 3 chances to get a win left this year, the Jags twice and Carolina and in all likelihood they only win 1 of those, 2 at the most. They keep finding new ways to lose every week. We will not have a worse record than they will and in a tie they end up picking in front of us because of SOS.

If we can't get Luck, and we won't, then making the Jets implode is the next best thing. We win tonight!

With the Colts, Rams, and Vikings losing again, tonight is a must lose game for Miami in order to keep pace with those teams.

I want Luck, but the reality is we most likely will not get him. We have 2 teams that are worse then us in the race, 1 of which does not need a QB but you can be damned sure they will be a whore when it comes to trading that pick. The other "Indy" has already stated they would take him, and with him and Peyton already being friends the writing is on the wall. I have come to terms there is a black cloud over this organization, because even when we suck so back, we can't suck enough.

With that said, ruining the Jet's playoff hopes would make me giggle.

Yep. I have faith in our boys though. We are coming off a bye week and if you give sparano two whole weeks to prepare for a game he will find a way to lose to any team in the NFL

No there haven't been plenty of can't miss prospects. Can't miss were Peyton and Elway. The others were just prospects. Don't bring up Jamarcus, Leaf, and etc because no one thought they were can't miss qb prospects.

Wasn't there a big debate between Manning and Leaf the year of the draft. How is it that Manning was can't miss and Leaf was just another prospect. Why would anyone at the time even be debating it then?

Leaf was a boom or bust guy. Peyton everyone thought would be good they just didn't know how good. Leaf was the guy that many thought could be a franchise QB, but they were plenty worried about the chance that he would bust. The only debate was over who had more upside. I don't remember a whole lot of people that thought Leaf was far and away the better player.

One victory versus the Jets will not change a thing. I cant believe there are still people who rather win games this season instead of losing out and picking the best qb prospect in the last 10 years.

BTW if we do end up beating those scrubs... how embarrassing will that be for fatty after he said his team will win the Super Bowl... lol, they gave up those picks for Mark Sanchez and he is garbage.. on par with Henne

The only embarrassing thing is supposed dolphin fans rooting against their team for a player who may or may not turn out to be a good player. There's no such thing as a sure thing.

There was no debate, both were going to be great players. The history of this league is littered w/ tons of can't miss guys that missed. I'm not saying Luck will miss but it's still to tank a season for any player. you'd still have the same cluless folks running your organization, get good football people in, get good coaching and you'll turn that franchise around.

It would be more embarassing to the Dolphin fans who were actual rooting for the Jets to win.

Not really. Manning was going number one. His number one status lasted two years. He was looked at as the safest pick and a franchise qb. Leaf came on toward the end and certain people were enamored with his arm. He definitely wasn't looked at as the same type of sure thing as manning. Leaf had many detractors while manning had practically none.

Luck is a once in a generation type prospect. Not since Elway has a qb been as highly touted as luck and that includes manning. There is absolutely no comparison between this guy and leaf, Carr, couch, Russell or any of these other busts. If we are to suck this is the best year to do it

Does Tim couch ring a bell.

Sound a lot like Luck.

Just saying you never know.
