I am all for a front-office change, but the fact remains that Tanny has not been able to capitalize of Wallace getting open. It happened again yesterday....Wallace gaining 3 yards on the defender, and no ball on target.
Imagine your frustration if you were asked to run, at full speed, over and over again, beating your man, with no ball or underthrown balls heading your way?

An imagine what Brees or Brady would do with a weapon like that...????

Underperforming Fins QBs are exactly why we cannot find the VALUE in top-tier receivers. Welker for a 2nd..? Yeah, we did that.

I believe in Tanny, but make no mistake here, he has not shown the accuracy on the deep ball. If he improves to top-10 in this area, then trust me, Wallace will shine.

So, before you criticize Wallace blindly, just stop and think how you would feel if he suddenly appreared in a Pats uniform.

This really needed a thread?

Everybody knows this you didn't just post some new news.

Like I said in an earlier post, even Big Ben had trouble with Wallace's speed there first year together too. Under threw him like Ryan is now.

Tannehill just needs time to adjust to Wallace speed.

QB's will wait until a WR has a step or two on a CB for a deep rout.

With speed like Wallace, Tannehill needs to recognize if Wallace has a inch of seperation on a CB, over the span of 50 yards, that turns into 2-3 steps. So chuck it up earlier.

So we agree, and yeah...should be obvious to the casual fan.
Just needed as a counter to the threads calling for the head of Wallace without looking at the facts.

Wallace should be used better in slants and crossing patterns to get him hot and get Tanny comfortable. It looked like they were trying to do that yesterday but the dreaded deep all brought back some negativity.

Have to get him involved in the short to intermediate passing game and work the deep balls in to keep the safeties honest.

It's a combination of deficiencies. Wallace needs to be called out for Wallace's issues. As they all do. Like dropped passes. Poor reads etc. Tanney for poorly thrown balls. The coaching staff for bad schemes.

There's plenty of blame to go around IMHO.

This. One could also make the case that this is a coaching issue.
Is this a case of Philbin's blinders to not recognize the obvious?
Henne was almost re-named "Checkdown Charlie" for his tendency to take the easier throws. Tanny has the balls to sling it (pun), but has to make this chemistry his main priority. He has the linkup with Hartline almost down, has to do the same with the deep threat.

Yeah, Wallace is not perfect here....but we need him to be hit in stride. Even of the sideline completions, you can see him hit the brakes when the ball is in the air, allowing the defender to close in.
The more I think about this, the more I lean on it being a coaching issue. And I can understand Wallace's frustration.

I disagree. Tany is fine (mostly) with the short patterns from all targets, including Clay. It is the speed of the outside that has him uncomfortable. If I were coaching him I would ask him to try and drop the ball a little ahead of where he thinks Wallace can reach it, and see what happens....
