The Way Things Are Shaping Up In FA...

Brother we have to hope for the best with the change in management for our team. I really want to give the old fist pump when we draft at least the first two days rather than having a confused look on my face or my hands covering my face saying WTF?
I'm right with you, bro. I'm nothing but happy with the way things are going so far under Hickey. Can't wait for the draft.

If you really think about it we played better against the Pats last year than our other division rivals. Beat them once and stomped them in the first half of the first game. So all of you that are claiming the Pats to be sooo much above us need to get off Belichecks jock.

Our qb wet his pants against the jets and bills last season with the playoffs in the line.... I'd be more worried about that.

Much more worried about Brady and now Revis than I am about Belicheck.

...it's going to be a wild divisional fight between the Patroits and our Dolphins. Go Fins!!!

Each team has a shot at the division but then again they really don't because Brady just never loses that many games each season. I expect Miami, New York and Buffalo to all have a shot.

So you'd suggest he retire and go shovel mulch somewhere because he can never rebound and have an even better year huh?

fight? that denotes 'equal' footing.. with #12 still slinging, and The Island & Co on D.. they're still the Bully pullin our teams drawers over their heads

Hey, I'm with you OP. We know our weaknesses from last year and we are addressing them. Still a long way to go, but we are off to a good start.

The year I can't get enthusiastic about the Dolphins coming season is the year it's time to find another past time.........

Okay so we lost the last 2 games, one at home against the Jest and one on road to Bills. We have always struggled at Buffalo in December even in our heyday and we lost to jest too, a lot. We beat 4 of six playoff teams, and beat red hot Steeler team in a blizzard!

They've resigned our best two defensive players, replaced a 2 down run stuffer with a 3 down run stopper with pass rush ability, got more feisty and aggressive with 2 physical DBs! They added the best pass blocking LT on the market, who also had a run block average behind his blocking of 5.7 yards per rush. Then added a potential LG/RG who has tremendous growth potential. Athletic and a bulldozer in run game and is young but more ready than a rook.

This regime is putting pieces together that actually fit. The team will develop.

It's hard being a fin fan because we've sporadically been good mostly inconsistently mediocre and mixed in with hair pulling and mind numbing atrociousness! Philbin needs to improve, but he has improved the coaching staff drastically already this year. Hickey has bought in and things look up, the draft will be very telling with how good Hickey and crew are graded and perceived from us! I believe there is potential with this regime as it is currently constructed.

Just miss mike wallace wide open deep for 50+ yard TDs 5 times this season, not 10-12 and we should be right there.

In other words, get a QB in there who can complete a few of those and we win double digit games instead of 7 or 8. Fair point.

Sounds like youre saying we should draft AJ McCarron who completed 55% of his throws 25 yards or more downfield. Either that or start Moore. Interesting idea there Sharp.

I don't think they have. They've added some pieces to the back end of their defense but if Wilfork leaves they're going to be easy to run on and they have done nothing for their passing game which was bad last year. Plus the lost Blount who was a workhorse for them.

Good try, but they played the majority of the season without Wilfork last season after he got injured. Didnt seem to stop them from reaching the AFC title game and coasting to another division title in the process.

And Blount is not a problem to replace. They have a good stable of RBs. Remember Vereen missed a ton of the season.

On top of that they made serious upgrades in the secondary, may have Gronk returning who battled injury all year, and will likely bring in some talent to supplement that stable of developing rookies they had at WR. Yea, they are going to be tough to beat.

Meantime, we are still trying to figure out how to take a snap without taking a sack and seeing if we can actually put it in the endzone a couple of times vs. the Bills and Jests. Lets get real here. Im not saying we cant win the division next year, but lets not act like it wont be a tall order and require hard work and good fortune.

IMO- our biggest weakness is gone. Sherman. If Lazer is half as good as we can expect then that crap at the end of the season shouldn't happen again.

Our gap from the pats is closer yet again so far. It's still early in the offseason though.

Until someone else wins the division, it is the patriots division. Sorry to burst a bubble.

Lets see, we got a very good LT then we got a few players that will compete for a starting job. NE added stars to their division winning team.....do the math....smh

Ozzy rules!!
